About this audiobook

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aurora Rose Reynolds comes the first novel in the fun, sexy, and thrilling How to Catch an Alpha series.

Leah Emerson isn’t looking for a man—she’s looking for the right man. But her mother’s idea of a great catch leaves her cold, and she’s pretty sure her cocky, arrogant, and way too good-looking new neighbor isn’t the one either. If only her wayward cat would stop jumping through his window, she could get on with her life.

Tyler Duncan moved into town for a new job, not to fall in love. But he always goes after the things he wants in life with steadfast determination…and he wants Leah Emerson. He wants her smiles, he wants her touch, and he definitely wants her in bed.

Unfortunately, someone else wants Leah—in the worst way. Now Tyler’s on a mission to protect the woman he’s falling in love with while proving he’s worth falling for, and Leah must decide whether Tyler is a catch worth catching…

I was practically gagging with how mushy this romance was and it made me feel gross at times, not gonna lie but I needed another fix of romance and this was a good appetizer. "Catching Him" was cute but a whole lot of nothing was going on until we hit the 80% where a mild conflict ensues (obviously not major) alongside the cringeworthy instant love they had going on. Not like I minded it much with this novel because I kind of expected it when going through the reviews but it would have made it a bit more interesting with this fluff of a romance if there was some sort of real relationship drama thrown into the mix. Nevertheless it was instant love feel good romance.

I have not read a book by Aurora it seems in forever and it was good that I got reintroduced to her with Catching Him. You will fall in love with Tyler-hottie neighbor and his dog Bruce. We meet Leah who has decided that she was not going to chase men anymore they were going to come after her since she had wasted 2 years of her life with her ex and his undeciveness. She ends up meeting her neighbor in unique fashion and he is oh so hot, but she is avoiding him. They bump into each other due to Bruce (Tyler's dog) and the rest is history..Tyler is Alpha to the core and sweet and possessive, yum. I loved Leah's family and friend, Tyler's mom not so much-she is lucky for Leah because someone else would not have been so understanding..Hopefully Leah's friend gets herself a hottie soon. Enjoy!Rcvd and ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) Voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions

Leah and Tyler are the optimum of instalove.

Aurora has done it again with her classic instalove trope that she is so good at. I loved the easiness of their story and the alpha male vibes that were emanating off of Tyler throughout, hence the series title! It's easy to see why Tyler fell head over heels for Leah, especially, when she stood up to Tyler's mother. She was written slightly different to Aurora's other heroines and I can't quite [ut my finger on it.

There's always a massive dose of drama in these stories but they happen so quickly in such a small amount of time that it's just too much. I will always continue with any books Aurora writes because they're definitely my guilty pleasure.
