Описание

Michael Wolff, author of the bombshell bestseller Fire and Fury, once again takes us inside the Trump presidency to reveal a White House under siege.

With Fire and Fury, Michael Wolff defined the first phase of the Trump administration; now, in Siege, he has written an equally essential and explosive book about a presidency that is under fire from almost every side. A stunningly fresh narrative that begins just as Trump's second year as president is getting underway and ends with the delivery of the Mueller report, Siege reveals an administration that is perpetually beleaguered by investigations and a president who is increasingly volatile, erratic, and exposed.

Interesting. Mostly known. What was not known needs some heft and references.

One thing that "confuses" me, really just a question... We have all these reports of Trump going wild with rage in meetings....yet, while a complete nutter, he seems more or less not raging in public. He gets mad, and won't answer a straight question... Of course. And he sputters a lot. But we haven't seen the reported outbursts. Would like to have more hard detail on that.
And that is the book. A lot of interesting stories that may or may not be true , or are true from some POV... But we don't know really. Take it at face value... Trump is who you think he is.

Notably less analytical than the riveting and ‘Fire and Fury’, nonetheless a finely written book which brings the reader up to date until March 2019.

Another book by a nut. None of this is true.

The main reason I read this book was the first book Michael Wolff wrote, it gave a good insight into the chaos of the job and in a way a good and neutral account of some of the events that took place and in a way I found relevant. I can’t say the same about this one though, it’s really more focused on specific events. Reading this felt like the times I hang out with my buddies and we all talk about how crazy someone we knew was, I didn’t feel it was as mindful of a read as the first book, on to John Bolton’s book next.

The human factors and personality dysfunctions are described as if I am an interactive participant. Background account of events clarified what some press release did not elaborate. Excellent book!
