- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I read the 1962 edition. I am unable to find the 1962 edition listed in Library Thing. The difference between the 1962 and 152 edition is almost 100 changes to the text. The RSV is an excellent read of the Holy Bible.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I don't hate it. It's purportedly a "modern English" version intended to appeal to both Catholics and Protestants, but the "modern English" on offer seems to trend to the weirdly archaic, and less pretty than the KJV. So I guess if you're not that good a reader, but like it to seem ancient and numinous, and don't get irritated by those stress accents on all the names, this one's fine.
