      Great start to the series. Intriguing world-building. Can't wait to find out more about the other shifter clans.

      Good start to this series. First book I think I have read of one of the authors and I liked the concept they created. I was taken a little aback by the instant love/mating but not a huge deal. I was kinda annoyed with a certain mate for treating Ari the way he did and thought he got off way too easily after doing that to her, especially with her troubled and dark past. It was a total trigger and she didnt deserve it. Ari was a total BA though, she is so strong sometimes feral) but I liked her strength. She did start to get sorta repetitive with her thoughts/lines but nothing too bad.

      I like the different shifter factions, I think the bear alpha is gonna be my favorite (got total heart eyes for him hahaha). I do love that that the authors added a ton of diversity to this harem, it was a refreshing site. I did like seeing the couple factions so far and the politics and alpha/clan business wasn't too much (sometimes some PNR stories can focus on that a lot or not enough, this one had a good mix). I am interested to learn more about this silver shifter and what she can do, but I am digging one of the big revelations at the end of the book during the vampire showdown! Cool twist on mating romances.

      In terms of the audio I would give them 4/5 stars. I have listened to this duo on a bunch of audiobooks so I am familiar with their nuances. I was brought out of the story a bit with how different their accents for the dragon alpha was. I thought Alex did a better job at the Indian accent, but Maryne's wasn't bad (like I have heard her try to do French accents before and that was a tougher listen).

      Overall 4/5 stars for book 1 of this 4 book PNR RH series. I will say I picked these up when I did because I had been listening to longer audiobooks and saw these were on the shorter side so I could get through them faster. I love detailed stories but this one was more throwing the punches and speeding up things in terms of the story (why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5). Flow and continuity were good (sometimes I get worried about that with coauthors). On to book 2!
