I enjoyed the story and the narration. The entities in the story are something that I used to listen stories about as kids.
It was cool. Picked up toward the end. I prefer her other titles but the Tram car titles sequel may bring this one full circle.
Great little story and a marvelous performance. Hope to visit this interesting world and see these main characters again on a larger scale.
I really enjoyed this. The author has a gift at pacing. I was never bored and it was packed with plot twist and action. I highly recommend you give this a try. Also the audiobook had a great narrator!
Such a wonderful novella! Gripping, fun and it has an interesting mystery plot. I liked the protagonist too. ThenNarration by Suehyla El-Attar is simply superb. Highly recommend this book!

Sumptuous world-building and phenomenal characters. The whole premise is super exciting even if the ending was rushed but that's okay. Now to read more P. Djeli Clark!

This story was super unique and engaging. Sad that it was just a short story but..ah well.
Wow, wow, wow! This was so good! The writing style is so atmospheric and vivid I swear I'm in that alternate Cairo with Fatma. Loved the mythology and the fantasy infused in the story as well! Only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is that the ending felt a little safe, anticlimactic if you will. Nevertheless, this was an amazing novella and I would love to read more stories in the same setting!
