Very disappointing and predictable. Lisa Jewell is one of my favorites but in this book showed an unpleasant side of her personality, one who judges single people as weird and undesirable and buys into the myth that you have to be with someone to be fulfilled. One can only hope that that her subsequent books will return to balanced, thoughtful and insightful writing.

This is a fairytale of "almost middle-age teenagers". the ending is sweet. the main characters are likable & sweet if unreal. i just think Lya is too old to behave like that (35 & still think she is a "girl", not a woman? 35 is not old but she is closer to menopause than adolescence). Also too much time is spent on describing the outfit & hairstyle in great details.

I love how the author develops her characters in a way that makes me feel like I know them and care about their futures. I laughed out loud and cried. I loved this book and Lisa Jewell’s wonderful way with words!

Ahhhhhh….just lovely! I don’t know how accurate Lisa Jewell captures London, but I do enjoy the trips I take there in her books!

What a delight! I have read a lot of Lisa Jewell thrillers. This is very different but I absolutely loved the character development and the transformation of all the people. The narration was fabulous and kept me engaged. Loved it!

A story about everyday people that brings you into their worlds. This makes one think about their own everyday ordinary life. Well written

Honestly how cliché she made every character. Literally I was so offended how many rude references to being gay could she make. I really wanted to like this book but it was ridiculous.

I would think we should all try to be more like Toby. What a good heart.. even though he had a terrible father ... he turned out to be a great person.

This book was a cute story and a fun read. Multiple character lines to follow throughout the book that intertwined near the end. Not super captivating, but more lighthearted and just an overall good story for something nice and easy to read. I liked how everything worked out and was tied together in the end.
Again, I like both mysteries and women’s fiction, but I only knew of Lisa Jewell’s mystery/thriller books. This one is one of her earlier ones, when she was writing women’s fiction, and I enjoyed it. I was in the mood for some comfort reading and this fitted the bill.

It wasn’t my cup of tea. I couldn’t stand “Toby” and his narrated voice was so annoying. I’ve enjoyed other books from this author far more.

I really liked this book! I was able to become invested in every character's story and Lisa Jewell did not let us down and wrote a satisfying conclusion/to be continued for each character. A PLEASANT READ!

What a beautiful, lovely story. A coming of age tale for every character involved. And such humor! Listened to it in just one sitting. Highly recommend. ?
