About this audiobook

After a devastating accident crushed my dreams, I ended up back in my hometown teaching kindergarten. I was trying to make the best of it. That is, until the world I had to leave behind, showed up in my classroom in the form of a five-year-old little girl. Her father living the exact life I almost had.

Adam Jacobson is known as the bad boy of rock. While he and his band tour the world, they leave a trail of mayhem. What no one knows is behind the music is a caring, straightedge man with a secret-a daughter who the world is about to discover.

When they move to my small town, their secret is blown. He needs my help to keep her out of the media, and with each exchange we grow closer. Only problem is I need to stay away from the memories he ignites, and the temptations he brings my way.

Secrets I've kept and thoughts of that fatal night come crashing back into my life. I have to wonder if it was more than fate that brought his little girl into my classroom.

Contains mature themes.

From the moment we met Sarah, you could tell she was something special. It seemed she was headed for greatness. Anyone would have drawn away from the spotlight after what happened, especially after what her father said. The difference between the Sarah in the epilogue and the Sarah starting Chapter 1 is striking. You could tell she was content but not happy. The minute Adam came into her life, her attitude changed & she was more on edge. Adam is secure in who he is & what he does. He loves his daughter Cailin & would do anything for her. He loves his music but not the typical lifestyle. He’s determined not to be like his mother & that keeps him from the drugs & alcohol. Sarah just seems to add light to his life. When he discovers her talent, he can’t help encouraging her to make the most of it. With town members & Sarah’s father believing the worst of the gossip, is there any way they have a chance?I love it when I take a chance on a book & new to me author & it pays off! The connection with these characters was immediate. The storyline was original & the author stayed true to it. The gospel teachings of faith, following God’s path, not judging & seeking the inside beauty were perfectly placed in the story & are uplifting, not preachy. This was a perfect example of believing & staying true to yourself. Sarah wasn’t happy because she was trying to deny the talent God gave her. Once she embraced it again, nothing could keep her down. I loved the role Cailin played in the story & she added so much joy & happiness to the plot. This was a wonderful story & I’ll be watching for more from this author.
