      Great story. I didn't read the first book. I didn't feel lost though. It was strange that so much time was spent on Jake. It was odd that they didn't even kiss until like chapter 27-28. Then once they hooked up which had me pulling my hair she immediately ruined it with a trip to the pharmacy. Nothing says romance novel killer like that. Kyle is a dream guy. She was strong and independent but that was something I liked reading. I liked seeing her grow and mold into someone not acting on past hurt... eventually.
