About this audiobook
“Brilliant, hilarious, and oh-so-romantic.” —BuzzFeed
“Swoony, steamy.” —Entertainment Weekly
The Hating Game meets Booksmart by way of Morgan Matson in this unforgettable romantic comedy about two rival overachievers whose relationship completely transforms over the course of twenty-four hours.
Today, she hates him.
It’s the last day of senior year. Rowan Roth and Neil McNair have been bitter rivals for all of high school, clashing on test scores, student council elections, and even gym class pull-up contests. While Rowan, who secretly wants to write romance novels, is anxious about the future, she’d love to beat her infuriating nemesis one last time.
Tonight, she puts up with him.
When Neil is named valedictorian, Rowan has only one chance at victory: Howl, a senior class game that takes them all over Seattle, a farewell tour of the city she loves. But after learning a group of seniors is out to get them, she and Neil reluctantly decide to team up until they’re the last players left—and then they’ll destroy each other.
As Rowan spends more time with Neil, she realizes he’s much more than the awkward linguistics nerd she’s sparred with for the past four years. And, perhaps, this boy she claims to despise might actually be the boy of her dreams.
Tomorrow…maybe she’s already fallen for him.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved it so much.
Sweet, fun, and a great story.
An amazing enemies to lovers and I love both the main characters. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Such a quick and easy read I am a sucker for enemies to lovers and these two are top notch! Brought me back to that time in school to compel of it competitive streak one can get into making it to the top and they complement each other so well the fact that he texted her every morning gave me butterflies I know it took her more a while to get there but that love was definitely always there
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Eu não acredito no quanto eu amei esse livro!!! Não existe outra nota a não ser essa!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Why is this included in a YA Religious category? I made the mistake of not reading outside reviews first, this is basically an example of societal rot that has become trendy. What a sad little book.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5this was really cute and pretty mature for a YA? it's not my favourite book but if anyone is feeling like listening to a cute romance, this is it
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Super cute book! Great to listen while driving. It's a light and fun reading!.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved it!! Academic rivals to lovers is one of the best tropes and this is so well written. I loved the author’s incorporation of Seattle (the city was essentially a third main character, and love letters to cities are always so endearing) and the themes of constant change and transformation of one’s self throughout the years as natural and freeing. Really appreciated the transparency and forthrightness of being Jewish in a big city. Definitely fell in love with the characters - they were authentic and it was great to see their evolution. Audiobook narrator was awesome too - 100% will read it again!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Cute, YA book. Main female character is kind of whiney though. "I'm a girl, you're treating me different ?"
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was a stunning book that had me hooked from the start. I loved the characters, the enemies-to-lovers romance, the scavenger hunt plot, the character arcs - it captured my heart completely.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5UGH I just adored this!!!!!! Enemies to lovers truly has my heart
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I really enjoyed this but it was as amazing as I thought it would be based on what all crazy stuff I heard !
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved it so much. One of the best books on this app. Finished it in ONE day.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I absolutely loved this. Although I figured out early on who had Roman's name for howl it still had me on the edge of my seat.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Love this! I want more from these two!! What happens next?!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This is not a clean book. Not suitable for teens.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Cute but slightly infuriating at times. I had to give it some breathing time in between a few parts because I was convinced it’s all over for them and I didn’t want that for them
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Super straight, super cliche, unlikable characters, very high school. Cringe. Yawn.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I really enjoyed this book!!! It was kind of frustrating though, when you think about how Rowan wasted years on a rivalry that could've been one of her greatest high school relationships. But anyways, I love the enemies to lovers trope, and it was so well done! Also the scavenger hunt around the city, I'm so ENVIOUS!! hahahah.
Three things in this book that really stood out to me :
1. Romance is a REAL genre
2. Dismantling the ugly redhead boy stereotype
3. Don't pass judgement on someone if you haven't even tried to get to know them - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A very fun adventure about young love, endings and new beginnings.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5so i guess i just found my new favorite book
