About this audiobook

In a sizzling new Argeneau novel from New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands, a gorgeous mortal encounters his greatest temptation…

For almost two centuries, Ildaria Garcia has been on the run, a trouble magnet with a knack for taking down bad guys. Lately, her vigilante tendencies have drawn unwelcome attention to her fellow Immortals. Forced to relocate, Ildaria is supposed to lay low in a new town. Instead, she quickly entangles herself with six and a half feet of muscular, tattooed trouble.

Joshua James Simpson Guiscard, aka G.G., knows a lot about Immortals—enough to make him wary. Yet from the moment Ildaria walks into his club, he feels desire stronger than anything he’s known. Accepting the fact that they might be life mates is disconcerting. But when her past catches up to them, G.G. faces a choice—confront his demons at last, or lose a passion that’s hot as hell.

Immortal Angel is the newest book in the infamous Argeneau series and this author just NEVER disappoints. I will say that I really loved how this story sets off ….how it develops and how it definitely ends. This author did something a bit different I never expected to see in one of her books especially this series and it was really interesting to see how it all pans out in the end. And there is a bit of a love triangle….which happens later in the book but is still pretty monumental to the story. Its an element that you never expect from the beginning.Immortal Angel sets off with Ildaria Garcia who keeps getting into trouble. She has only been an immortal for a couple hundred years but she isn’t like many other immortals. She is working on her college degree but when she keeps getting caught saving people on camera in front of witnesses….Lucien isn’t thrilled and pulls her away from school and sends her to a place where he can have a tighter leash on her. She ends up working at a immortal bar and working for a mortal man who has immortal ties with both of his parents being immortal. But he is haunted in seeing his mother’s turn and refuses to ever go through that. But when Ildaria finds out that he is her lifemate, she is shocked but delighted but also aware she will get little time with him. But she is being hunted, by a immortal in South America who has never stopped searching for her. But when truths about who he really is ….she might end up with two lifematesI simply loved Immortal Angel, it was such a fantastic book and so so different from anything we have really encountered in this series. A bit of a love triangle, now this love triangle builds toward the later end of the book. I really felt for Juan though. To be honest I hope he gets a story and soon. Because at first we see him as the villain, but then as truths become revealed we see how tormented he is. Ildaria has suffered much and unlike many immortals doesn’t have wealth or money. But is working on bettering herself. She can kick ass though and can fight and defend herself if necessary. I really adored her character because she has such a core of strength.Joshua, really struggles with seeing her as his lifemate. He knows about lifemates but for a bit upon meeting her when they have shared sex dreams he views himself as a sick man because Ildaria works for him and refuses to take advantage and is willing to move to another country before he dishonors her. But I love how Ildaria who has little experience in the bedroom, has to find a way to seduce him and its pretty fun to see their “courting” happen.Lynsay Sands does such an incredible job in delivering such a beautiful story that wraps you up in warmth and laughter. Immortal Angel was such a fun book and this might be the first book in romance I have read with a hero who has a mohawk…..a green one but he makes it work. And seeing how he caves in becoming immortal….well lets just say his mother is conniving and I LOVED it how she worked his jealousy to make him accept being turned. It was pretty funny how it worked out in the end and seeing how Ildaria and Joshua find their way together.Overall I found Immortal Angel to be a thrilling, laugh your socks off romance that fills the soul with light and attention.

I've loved this author and all of her different series since she first came to my attention years ago, so I was delighted to receive this book as an ARC.Even though there are 30 books ahead of this one, you really don't need to read them all to get into this one. But I suggest that if you like this one, do read the whole series to see how the author has developed her series over time. This was a great book with well-developed characters, plotlines, and a shocking twist at the end. I do so love strong women characters that aren't afraid to show a bit of softness. This book really did it for me, and that means the next chance I get, I'm going to be re-reading it as well as the rest of the series.*ARC supplied by the publisher and author for an unbiased review.
