Political tell-all…

The much-anticipated political tell-all that some members of the Trump family didn’t want published. Mary Trump, President Donald Trump’s niece and a trained psychotherapist, attempts to explain what makes the 45th president tick.

Описание

In this revelatory, authoritative portrait of Donald J. Trump and the toxic family that made him, Mary L. Trump, a trained clinical psychologist and Donald’s only niece, shines a bright light on the dark history of their family in order to explain how her uncle became the man who now threatens the world’s health, economic security, and social fabric.

Mary Trump spent much of her childhood in her grandparents’ large, imposing house in the heart of Queens, New York, where Donald and his four siblings grew up. She describes a nightmare of traumas, destructive relationships, and a tragic combination of neglect and abuse. She explains how specific events and general family patterns created the damaged man who currently occupies the Oval Office, including the strange and harmful relationship between Fred Trump and his two oldest sons, Fred Jr. and Donald.

A firsthand witness to countless holiday meals and interactions, Mary brings an incisive wit and unexpected humor to sometimes grim, often confounding family events. She recounts in unsparing detail everything from her uncle Donald’s place in the family spotlight and Ivana’s penchant for regifting to her grandmother’s frequent injuries and illnesses and the appalling way Donald, Fred Trump’s favorite son, dismissed and derided him when he began to succumb to Alzheimer’s.

Numerous pundits, armchair psychologists, and journalists have sought to parse Donald J. Trump’s lethal flaws. Mary L. Trump has the education, insight, and intimate familiarity needed to reveal what makes Donald, and the rest of her clan, tick. She alone can recount this fascinating, unnerving saga, not just because of her insider’s perspective but also because she is the only Trump willing to tell the truth about one of the world’s most powerful and dysfunctional families.

Complete disappointment. All families have their issues and as a counselor myself I can read the dysfunction of this author within the lines. The spotlight should also shine upon her. So classic that she can point fingers when she is just as imperfect. It will come back on her I hope whatever she gained from this was enough because the burned bridge will haunt her.

Wow some people named Trump do have some Class. What a family of LOSERS

Kudos to the author! She’s a brave woman to take on a family member of Donald’s ilk. Loved the balance and honesty. Answered many of my questions that the media did not answer.

Thank you to Mary Trump for writing this book. It gives a unique insight into why Donald Trump is the way he is. I highly recommend it.

She comes from this dysfunctional family and she knows how they are. It was not surprising to read about Donald T because all the world has been watching and listen in horrors and disbelief ...It was heartbreaking though to read about how this cruel people treated Mary’s father. Thanks for the insight.

Now, I can understand every move of the crazy man inside of the White House. I am not a democrat but his actions made me choose anything to replace him.

I disliked everything I had ever read, heard, or seen of Donald J. Trump. I was surprised to realize about half way through reading Too Much and Never Enough that I was beginning to understand and feel empathy for "the most dangerous man in the world". This is a story that only a close relative with an advanced counseling degree could so effectively communicate. Thanks Mary.

Not the best writing but certainly interesting to hear about Trump from the perspective of his niece.

An engaging tell-all book that I never would’ve expected to be published. Sheds light on the upbringing of President Trump, how his father’s parenting (or lack thereof) led him to become the man he is today.

This was my first experience with this method. It brings back good memories of listening to the radio. I especially like being able to
stay fully engaged with the story without being anchored to a chair or screen or time.
This book was enhanced by having the authors herself do the reading. She is brave to have written it. Shows how money was power and how it can corrupt , feed greed and prevent normal loving family relationships.

I really enjoyed it but most of what the author said in the book is not that surprising to me.

This book was really well written and loved the details. The best tell all book of all time.

It opens your eyes as to why he is the way he is!

A very good understanding of family challenges tragedies and accomplishments , how in every family there shall be ultimate conflict and misunderstanding of individual personalities and with the lack or inability to u deters day or respect each other the ultimate end is separation and loneliness .

Interesting insights and history of Trump’s family. Worth a listen.

Must read, excellent writing and completely transparent something we all wondered if anyone named Trump was capable of.

Instead of dragging it down, like with any opposing opinion; In my humble opinion, all Trump enthusiasts, must read this book with open mind (which they won’t) and and the the Brothers Grimm fairy tale “The Emperor’s Cloths”. Perhaps just perhaps a small percentage of people would have an “aha” moment.

Very fact fulfilled. Interesting as hell!!! Thank you for this book!!

Wow. Thankful for her to let us see into the world of her family. Most if not all of us in the New York area we know about Mr Trump but know the rest of the country and world now knows. He should have never been president. Everyone should read or listen to book.

Very informative, anecdotal and great insight on the family of Trump. As we witness in real time what Mary is proclaiming from her book, she backs up with stories from dysfunctional events and conversations that truly explains the mind of the president.

WOW!! This book says a lot. Sad that we have to suffer through it. Appreciate the courage the write the book.

I feel sad for the messed up lives the entire Trump clan had. This book was as much about showing the mistreatment of Freddie Trump and his children. At the end, Mary makes a really good case for what the President could have done to be successful and why he couldn't do that. The part that scared me the most is how powerful men (Putin, Kim Jung Un, and McConnell) are much smarter and know how to use the President. We are in deep trouble. Thank you, Mary, for attempting to help us understand and make us aware.

Well worth the time! Lots of information. Brings DJT into the light, and his scales and claws have been revealed.

This was a very intriguing and insightfull book. I am left feeling as if I've actually taken an enlightening journey into the mind of a man that I'd grown to hate because of his cruelty, only to have my perspective emerge into a sorrowful pity for a creature devoid of a soul, empathy, and compassion. He is in essence, a Frankenstein, tailor made by his father and incubated by a family held captive by the same psychopathic creator. This induced, impairement is hardly Trumps fault, but it is his problem...and now ours. I applaud Mary Trump for her courage in writing this book and her moxie to barrel through the barrage of insults and the efforts to discredit her work. Hats off to you "HoneyBunch!"

Not a complete surprise but definitely gives an insight into a troubling administration & the current political issues supposedly qualified man but appears as the opposite. She lays out the reasons how one man ( her Grandfather affected and influenced the people in her family but especially her father & Donald. It’s easy to see why he is an I empathize & sometimes very cruel man. It’s troubling to think this is the man running our country.

Important and brutal to everyone involved, including the complicit media.

Fascinating insider look at a family devoid of empathy and kindness who only see each encounter with another person as a cash transaction.

While there is clear bias in content, who does not have bias on a book they write to expose a person's failings? She did not write this for 2016 election assuming no impact, now she fears democracy at risk for another 4 years. Even if you disagree with her position on that, if you give a one star, are you saying she is lying? If not lying, would you not want to hear the specifics on not Donald as much as his father, which is who she blames, she seems to pity Donald. And for one-star raters, where else might you get this perspective? Those who know Donald all say this is what they have experienced in their own way. All lying???
