      This was lovely. It was nice to have the voice of a Cubana showing code switching and the importance of family all while giving a new romantic adventure.

      First the narrator was sooooo good! Her accents were on point. I smiled whenever I heard Lila’s dad I could hear mi Tíos Cubano. She is so skilled and did this book justice.

      The story was beautiful. I cried and laughed and cried and what a beautiful tribute to abuelita. To the girl who wants to do it all for her family to make everyone proud. We see Lila grow and mature. Face the hard and the sweet. And I so saw younger me bossing and commanding for everyone’s BEST interest. I fell in love with England I never thought I would or could. Thank you.

      I have to say this book was absolutely amazing. As a Latina myself I loved the little phrases that really bring me back to home. I couldn’t wait to keep listening to this book, and I never wanted it to end. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

      I loved the interpret, the changong voices, the accent, excellent. And the story was touching as someone whose life is also spreaded across multiple cities I fully understand the strugles of it eventhough in my case its not across the ocean. And baking And tea shop? *chef kiss* <3

      This audiobook was very good. Great narrator. I enjoyed the combination of Cuban/American and British culture. A great message for young girls and young women- a story of loss and love, friendship, and following your dreams.

      Its a sugary sweet fluff of a book but if you like cuban music and food with England as the backdrop then have a read. You may find yourself smiling at times.

      TW: ill parent, dementia. Death of grand parent. Not the main theme but a significant one nonetheless. Sweet and such but I wouldn't have read it had I known because of the triggers.

      I'm so glad that ended up putting this on my to read later list vs dnf when first picked it up in a bad mood. It was such a great book with so much heart and the personal growth of many characters was really well done. It handled the topic of grief, depression, anxiety and how friendships change and grow as you head off to college very well. All of the food and scenery was a cherry on top.

      I saw this book in a Bookshop and thought the cover was super pretty. I decided to see if it was on Scribd and was happy to find it here! I don't usually read straight romance books very often, but I'm really glad I gave this one a go. The story is sweet, all the characters are great, and it's a good story about different kinds of grief a teenager can go through - grief for a grandmother that passed away suddenly, grief for a romantic relationship ending when you thought it was going to last forever, grief for a friendship ending with someone that was really important to you, grief for a place you love but are forced to leave, and also grief for a mother that's still alive but not altogether there anymore.

      The audiobook is good, and I'm happy I listened to it because I could never have done the Spanish justice myself, but the English accents were a bit cringe at times
