- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I watched the Netflix adaption first, and though the overall plot, tone, and motivations for Lisa Nova were the same, it was quite different from the show. I still liked it. In many ways some of the character arcs were better in the novel, and the resolution was more satisfying but just as strange and open-ended. Though I did like how Rosa Salazar portrayed Lisa better than how she came across in the book. It was also a lot weirder with the magic and curses, and my favorite part.
