- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I started teaching a month ago after decades away. I'm shocked. This book describes the situation exactly. How will these kids ever contribute? There are two additional factors:
1) The students and the teachers have good reason to fear other students since mass shootings happen every day.
2) The students have been raised as consumers. This escalated with the "Happy Meal" in the early 90s. They expect to review their education experience. We are victims of our success. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Like I saw another person saying recently about this book in a review, although written 30 years ago, it is still highly relevant today. It’s amazing how little has changed in the educational process in 30 years. This book shows that we need to do something immediately about the educational system.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Written thirty years ago, this book can be read as though it was written yesterday. Unfortunately the diagnosis and explanations in this book are still absolutely relevant.
