      The story and narration is great, but the audio skips ahead in several places missing swathes of story.

      The fact that this masterpiece of a book has been abridged at all is appalling, but this is pure sacrilege. Normally an abridged audio book just feels slightly off, like something doesn't quite make sense like you remembered it from the book but you can't think what. But this has hacked out great chunks with such aggressive abandon that it's glaringly obvious where the cuts have been made. Even if you've only watched the movie and this is your first exposure to the book, it will be glaringly obvious.

      And it makes me want to cry that anyone's first exposure to this gloriously crafted book might be this awful excuse for an audiobook and, not noticing this is an abridgement, might just assume that this is one of those rare cases where the movie is better than the book. NO! Please find the book and read it!

      And for the love of all that is literary - someone PLEASE stop this abridgement madness and give us the whole damn book!

      I love this book with all my heart and the narration is fantastic, but it is abridged and misses so many funny quirks that make this book truly a masterpiece. I wish it was unabridged.

      I give this book 5 stars because it pretty much fits the movie and the movie fits the book. I find both movie and book very funny and adventurous, so I hope you do too.

      It is good. Story moves along at a good pace. However I grew up on the movie and humor the actors put forth is what makes the movie great. The same lines in the book don't have the same power. Still a great story though.
