D'vorah Elias was born in Inchon, Korea sometime in the summer of 1958. She was abandoned at the age of about six months in the garden at the Star of the Sea orphanage in Seoul. Sh...view moreD'vorah Elias was born in Inchon, Korea sometime in the summer of 1958. She was abandoned at the age of about six months in the garden at the Star of the Sea orphanage in Seoul. She was adopted by an Appalachian mother and a Japanese father and grew up with them in Cincinnati where she was raised as a Catholic. At the age of 18, she converted to Judaism just before marrying her husband, Vic with whom she had four children. She lives in London, Ontario.
Her poetry appears in The Creative Circus Book published by Red Kite Press (1992) and Ani published by Southwestern Ontario Poetry (2010). She has won many awards for her poetry which has also been published in many Canadian literary magazines.view less
