She is a California transplant, who moved to Georgia with her husband and three dogs to chase her engineering career in illumination design. Aside from her love of tea, wine, desserts, and writing, she loves reading, playing piano, baking, and bullet journaling (in no particular order).Melissa has been an avid reader since childhood, with an interest in fantasy books. She grew up reading the Harry Potter series repeatedly. Her favorite fantasy creature is the dragon, which is probably because she read (more than once) The Dragonriders of Pern books, beginning in the seventh grade. No wonder dragons are her favorite creatures to write about! Her largest writing project is currently an epic fantasy series set in the fictional world of Dragonwall.
