Smith is an acolyte of Jane Austen and Bugs Bunny (imagine a cartoon character with a great vocabulary). She started performing and teaching improv comedy in high school, and started writing sketch and stand-up comedy while working on her English degree at Rice University. Now she’s a comedian and screenwriter, when she’s not obsessing over Regency England. She has her grandmother to thank for everything she knows and loves about literature.
