About this ebook
"Christmas wont be Christmas without any corpses."
The dear, sweet March sisters are back, and Marmee has told them to be good little women. Good little vampire women, that is. That's right: Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy have grown up since you last read their tale, and now they have (much) longer lives and (much) more ravenous appetites.
Marmee has taught them well, and so they live by an unprecedented moral code of abstinence . . . from human blood. Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy must learn to get along with one another, help make society a better place, and avoid the vampire hunters who pose a constant threat to their existence. Plus, Laurie is dying to become a part of the March family, at any cost. Some things never change.
This horrifying—and hilarious—retelling of a timeless American classic will leave readers craving the bloodthirsty drama on each and every page.Lynn Messina
Lynn Messina is the author of several novels for teen girls. When she's not writing about girls growing up-or girls growing up as vampires-she works as a freelance copyeditor for various New York magazines.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Quite a funny twist of a read. I like a good mash-up once and a while and Little vampire women is one of my favorites so far. At some moments the original novel sounded better with the inclusion of the blood sucking women once written up as demure and innocent by Louisa May Alcott. Most of the book was great, some parts were slow and confusing, but eventually sped up to a pace more enjoyable. I would recommend this book to both fans of the classics and to new young adult readers, very fangtastic read!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was an interesting mash-up of an old classic and a favorite topic these days – vampires. Having read the original when I was a young adult, I was fascinated by the addition of the new text and storyline meshed so brilliantly together. Like the original, there were parts that suffered in the details, but it was still a great read with lots of humor. I believe this book will interest a young reader to read the original and hopefully other classics, as well.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5You know for the bad rap that the mashup books tend to get, I actually enjoyed this YA one. Though the story is stagnant in some places, overall the vampire aspect of the book does not read like a "re-do"...it reads as if this was the way the story was always suppose to be. Certainly recommend for a read through whether you've read the original story or not....you'll gain a new perspective on a classic novel and still have some fangish fun along the way. Happy reading!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I guess there truly is nothing new under the sun. Where are new, creative ideas? When did it become ok (I understand the legalities, please do not think I am confused) to take another person's work, and just add onto it? There are court cases because one song has the same three notes right before the Bridge, but Classic Literature? Meh, who cares? I do. I also think there still *are* enormously creative people in the world, and I hope we will all encourage them, give them the space, to create! New books, plays, films, songs... This world of re-boots and mash ups is just kind of sad. And very boring.
