FOREWORD
It gives me great pleasure to write the Foreword of this book. This book is a must-read book for every Papua New Guinean regardless of whether you are educated or not, rich or poor, young or old, a male or female, or a boss or cleaner. The message that is presented here is excellent and universally applicable.
Dreams are our personal motivator. Dreams give the dreamer a sense of hope of a destiny that is practicably reachable. It reaffirms our belief that there can be a bright future - one that we dream of. In this book, the author discusses the principles and mechanisms one ought to be acquainted with in order to make one’s dream a reality.
The author not only encourages us to dream big but presents a discussion on the very principles that bridges the gap between the dreamer and his dreams. It is commonly accepted that in order to be successful in a particular endeavour one must acquaint oneself with the principles that govern that which you are engaged in, and further to adhere to what it entails.
This book contains the life experience of the author, and the principles he discusses have been tested through his life’s journey. Those experiences have helped the author become what he is today. He has decided to share with us the secrets to the success he has gained and enjoys.
This book is a tool for psychological rejuvenation; it is a book for those who think life on earth is worthless, those whose dreams seem millions of miles away, individuals that have been robbed of purpose and destiny. The author encourages us all that there is light at the end of the tunnel, even though we have not had a glimpse of that light. He reminds us that we can be victors if only we hang on a little while longer and cling to the principles he outlines.
I urge you readers to try out the ideas within this book. When you do, you will be pleased with the results.

Chapter 1
LIVING YOUR DREAMS
Every product has a purpose as to why it is produced. The capacity and ability of that product is exclusively within the knowledge of its producer. For sophisticated products, the producer provides a manual as a guide to assist its use. The same is true for us as human beings. Amongst all the other products that God has created, we are the most precious products because we were fearfully and wonderfully made, let alone, created in the image and likeness of God. He alone knows our future, abilities, capacity and our true purpose in life. He has a prosperous and successful plan for our life here on earth, a life filled with contentment, enjoyment and fulfilment. God has designed us in such a way that our source of happiness comes from within. He has also given us a future filled with hope and tremendous joy, and this future can only be realized by appreciating what you carry on the inside, and taking a step with a willing heart to utilize them.
God has placed a countless measure of potential in every human being to do mighty exploits. Often times we are deceived to believe and pursue the kind of happiness that emanates from external sources like alcohol, drugs, movies, night-clubs and sports. These sources produce the kind of happiness that is temporary. Perpetual happiness and unspeakable joy comes from inside us. God is our source of true happiness, and our spirit-man is the threshold of that joy that springs forth from God and permeates our whole being.
One way through which God has intended us to enjoy life on earth is dreaming. Life on planet earth is but a wind that comes and goes, no one knows where it comes from and no one knows where it is going. A dream is an essential element that adds flavour to and propels fruitfulness in life. Where dreams fade, life also fades. One cannot truly enjoy life unless he becomes a dreamer. One of the major problems in the Western world today is the increase in suicidal rate amongst teenagers. Most young people bet their life on temporary things, and when these things fail they are left in a vacuum, without any sense of continuing life on earth.
Relationship is one of the things that young people rest their lives upon, particularly ‘boy-girl’ relationship. Most of these victims are ignorant of the fact that such relationships are not steady. This type of relationship involves the elements of emotion, thoughts and will-power. A person’s emotion is unstable in nature, because it is very much affected by the influx of thoughts that permeate the subconscious mind. Hence, whatever feelings a person has towards another does change depending on the kind of thoughts he entertains. Also, he is empowered to take a walk away from that relationship courtesy of the will-power accorded to him by God.
Others focus their lives entirely on entertainment, like Hollywood, sports stars and materialistic treasures. All these are temporary in nature and will surely pass away, they lack perpetuity. One of the most effective remedies to counter this social illness is encouraging young people to dream. Dreams not only give a sense of purpose in life, it impresses upon individuals a feeling of worthiness. When an individual is encouraged to dream he becomes rejuvenated within, becomes optimistic in life and realizes his innate ability to conquer challenges and do mighty exploits.
God has given us the right to not only dream, but to dream big because He is a big God. He has also provided every tool and power needed to make those dreams become a reality. It is up to us to learn as much as we can from certain experiences and lessons in life, and to utilize the God-given potential in us to bring about a life of abundance and fullness.
Only as high as I reach can I grow, only as far as I seek can I go, only as deep as I look can I see, only as much as I dream can I be.

Now you may have, in your mind, questions like What is a dream?
What is the significance of dreaming?
The answers to these questions will guide you and hopefully stimulate a desire in you to dream big and to be a living testament of your dreams.
What is a dream? The Oxford Dictionary Thesaurus defines a dream as: A series of pictures or events in a sleeping person’s mind; something greatly desired; something unreal or impossible.
There are two types of dreams; firstly, it is an experience encountered when you are asleep. This type of dream is experienced in the arena of the soul-man; I call it an experience of the inner-man. This is when data flows from the preconscious mind into the subconscious mind and a person encounters a picture-like experience. He is dreaming. This type of dream may be unreal; however, sometimes it is a voice from the spiritual world relaying a message to that person concerning his life or that of another.
The second type of dream refers to your heart’s desires or ambitions. The issue of desire is an element within the realm of the subconscious mind (heart), and is the ultimate state of one’s feelings. In other words, when one develops a feeling toward something in life, two things happen, the feeling may subside, or it develops to a matured state called ‘desire’. A person’s feeling is determined by external factors that find their way into the soul man through the eye gate and ear gate. When I was in grade seven, I desired to become a teacher. However, before this, I had no idea of what I wanted in life. Only when I came in contact with my social science teacher in the said grade that I began to admire the way he taught us in class, and how he conducted himself in school. He became my first ever role model in life. This admiration (feeling of approval) developed into a desire to one day become a teacher just like him.
It is the later type of dream that shall be discussed further in our succeeding chapters. After answering the previous questions, the next question to be addressed is what is the significance of dreaming?
There are a number of things that I have learned about dreaming. Firstly, dreaming gives you a reason to be alive. It gives meaning to your life. For instance, when you dream of becoming a doctor, you begin to see yourself dressed as a medical officer working in the arena of the medical field. You now know that it’s worth gearing up for and what it will take to prepare to be a doctor. Without a dream you will find that life is worth nothing less than being dead. God designed dreams so we can utilize and maximize our God-given potentials and gifts on planet earth in an exciting and enjoyable life.
There are many people who have huge potentials but settle for mediocrity because their dreams have died.
Anthony P Dalaka
The second thing about dreaming is that it gives you a sense of direction of life. A dream is your life’s vision. What you see is what you get. From the above hypothesis, when you see yourself as being a doctor in some years’ time down the line, your effort, time and resources will be directed toward achieving it. There are many people today that are living life without actually setting goals. A person who dreams will always set
