As most authors might claim, I was always been a natural storyteller and voracious book reader. Somehow, I also knew that some day I would sit down and write a book, which I did quite recently. When I finally sat in front of my computer monitor to do just that, the words literally came pouring out. Before very long, I had written many books in various genres. At first, my prolific writing was mainly for the pleasure and self-entertainment involved, until I discocered Smashwords and ebooks, and here I am, a published author with a long list of books to my credit. And many more to come.

    Chapter One

Heads turned in the direction of the hysterically laughing, elegantly dressed attractive young woman as the elevator descended through the building, picking up people on every floor until it got too tightly packed for any more passengers. She stood in the back totally oblivious to the crowd, all of whom shook their heads in amazement at her public display of such emotions. When the car finally reached the lobby everyone rushed out to find a good spot in the courtyard between the buildings where they could sit down in the bright sunshine and eat their lunch.

It was a busy noontime in Century City, one of the most desirable and richest business and work sections of Los Angeles, filled with swank corporate offices and splendidly expensive restaurants that surround the courtyard between the triangular buildings. The average worker could not afford to use these establishments on a daily basis, while always dreamed of being promoted some day and be able to afford them more than once a month on payday. Until such time, the multitude of hopefuls brown-bagged their lunch and sat in the sunny courtyard, eating and watching the privileged few entering the restaurants, dreaming of the day that they could rub shoulders with them.

Most of the clerks sitting in the courtyard were well-dressed young women, and she chose a bench next to two of them who were munching their sandwiches and talking animatedly. Both gave her a searching look as she approached, continuing their discussion without paying her any attention once they recognized her as the nutty woman from the elevator.

Paula Rice was still in a daze after what had just transpired in the office of Justine Bennett, a lawyer who was supposed to be the best business attorney in town according to her research, which she had to agree with after discussing her own very special needs. Justine was in her late forties Paula estimated, and looked rather dumpy despite her seemingly highly expensive clothes, and quite impressive in her ability to grasp Paula's unique legal needs even though she kind of doubted their veracity, which Paula expected would happen in their first meeting.

She was quite pleased with her professionalism throughout the meeting, but shocked to the core when they shook hands on parting, Justine suddenly grabbed and kissed her fully and hungrily on the mouth while patting her behind. Paula was so taken aback by it that she did not respond other than pulling away from the groping woman and escaping from her office at a fast run. But then, as the elevator descended, she realized what had just happened and she could not resist bursting into uproarious laughter at the idea that her self experimentation was the cause of Justine's odd behavior. It's my young feminine pheromones, she kept thinking, that overcame this sober looking attorney's inhibitions.

Her cell phone began ringing just as Paula stood up and was about to go pick up her car from the garage, and she smiled when she saw that the call was from Justine, who sounded terrible when pressed the connection button.

    Paula, is that you?

Yes, Justine, it's me. How can I help you?

By first accepting my profound apologies for what happened in my office, and then I'd like to see you in person and explain what took place.

I'm quite sure I know what had prompted it, and your apology is accepted. As to meeting with me, I'd like you to come over to my office so I can explain everything to you in great detail, especially so my need to attain your services.

"Thank you for being so gracious, Paula. I'm not quite sure what you mean about my services but I'd very much like to see you. Would later this afternoon be good
