About this ebook

New Age Psychopathy and Bourgeois Liberalism: A Socratic Dialogue is a novelette, the bulk of which is a Socratic dialogue in which Steve, a man with an impeccable ability to understand the complex dynamics involved in mainstream society and fringe society today, paints a frightening picture of the unpleasant reality behind bourgeois mystical facades, and a possibly hellish future that may await. Read what he has to say about New Age gurus (they're psychopaths and cryptofascists), bourgeois liberals (they're afraid of death, and one serious crisis away from abandoning their values), Right Wing Protestants (they have guns), and why people can't see what's going on in the world (they're focused on themselves). About 7638 words.

Picture this, said Steve, the fluffiest New Ager you've ever met.

    OK, said David.

Steve continued, She's got long hair. An ankh necklace. A flowery dress. Flowers in the hair.

    David continued, OK, yeah.

She's carrying her yoga mat, sipping on a smoothie. What do you think?

I don't know, she sounds kind of naive? David replied.

Of course she's naive, that's the point. What do you think can be extracted from her? Steve asked.

Hmm, well...money. Probably sex, if you were a good liar.

Exactly, sex and money, said Steve.

So, what's your point? David asked.

This woman has no idea what kind of trouble she's in.

    Trouble? asked David.

Oh, yes, trouble, Steve continued, What do you think of the kind of person who lies a lot? And I don't just mean a lot, I mean a person whose entire modus operandi is lying, who is so entirely full of lies that if he even believes in truth, it's only so he can negate it with some kind of lie?

I'd say he's probably a psychopath. Or insane. Or both.

Steve said, You're absolutely right. Now, most insane people are insane because they believe something unusual that is totally false, but do not understand that it is false. What do you think of these people?

I would think that they wouldn't be as harmful as psychopaths, because no one would listen to them, and they would lack the manipulation skills of a psychopath.

    Right, said Steve.

So, what's your point? asked David.

"What kind of person do you think would start some kind of New Age practice? I mean,
