About this ebook
You just started working after graduation (or you have been working for a year) and wonder why you feel uncomfortable at work? It’s because you probably don’t know business “rules” or how to interact with business people or how to function at work.
The reason is that college “forgot” to teach you what is needed on how to operate in and prosper at a company. This easy to read book will give you the skills that they should have taught you when you were in school. Using the knowledge in this book can help you earn $10,000 to $50,000 more a year or keep you employed.
Learn about:
1.How to get promoted
2.The danger of verbal messages
3.The power of non-verbal messages
4.Should you have friends at work?
5.How much should I sell my soul for?
6.Who has power in the organization?
7.Why your performance review is not just once a year
8.Why Facebook and Texting will be detrimental to you
9.Family businesses are good for family. But are you family?
Plus 13 other important subjects that will benefit you at work.
This eBook is written for quick reading by subject with short and ”to the point” chapters. It will give you the skills you need to prosper and survive in today's business environment. It makes up for what college forgot to or couldn't teach you.
Steve Pullman has over 33 years of management experience as VP of Operations, Sales and Marketing Manager and Regional Sales Manager at three companies. His corporate experience and experience in dealing with college graduates, and teaching them these subjects, is the basis of this book.
Steve Pullman
Steve has spent most of his life in sales and sales/marketing management. As a student of human behavior, which comes with the territory, he has studied why people do things. As an observer he can see a lot of the foibles and faults of others, while missing many of his own according to his wife. However since she loves him a lot, she corrects him gently most of the time. With over 33 years of management experience he has seen just about everything go wrong, heard almost every excuse possible but still has the faith that we all can do better when we are willing to learn and utilize the knowledge. Most people fight learning for some reason. They continue to do the same things all the time. His favorite quotation is from Albert Einstein: “Insanity is doing the same thing day after day and expecting different results.” Therefore gaining knowledge is paramount if we are to become better in all of aspects of our life. This includes how we deal with people in general, how we deal with our children and of course our spouses or significant others. With 30 plus years of a second marriage with a total of 7 children running around the house most of the time in the early part of the marriage, he developed skills that were and are useful in keeping his wife believing she was a princess. These skills can be learned by any man willing to read and try. This is in his next book coming out shortly: “Men’s Easy Guide to Understanding Women: Men’s Smarts 101”.
