Foreword
Cebuano Level 3 is the final section of a 3 part course following the Beginners Guide and the Level 2 intermediate course all produced by Streetwise Global Publications. All 3 levels were created by a native Filipino husband and wife team of adult learning professionals – Cebuano’s of course. So every word, phrase and grammatical nuance is 100 percent accurate and as only a native would speak. However as we commented in both previous levels, English is their second language and whilst a magnitude better than our Cebuano here at Streetwise Global Publications, we have ‘smoothed’ over some of the text to ensure it makes perfect sense to ensure that your experience is still worth every peso you invested.
Importantly though to reiterate that there are valid lessons to be learnt from how our tutors phrase their English because these patterns will guide you to how a Filipino would manage English when you come to meet them. So, whilst we have edited the English text, we have done so only to the extent necessary for a proper understanding leaving as much of the original phraseology intact as possible.
If you have reached this level you are clearly committed to learning Cebuano and know from Levels 1 & 2 what it takes to get through the courses. At Streetwise Global Publications, we know from our own experience that it’s not easy, but we have continued to do our best to give you the best shot at success and enjoy the experience at the same time.
Our continued advice is – Don’t worry. By now you know the form. Each Level is structured to enhance what you have absorbed so far and as ever, you can take your time and revisit each section as often as you wish.
Streetwise Global Publications' management thinks that having covered the first 20 lessons, actually level 3 gets easier as you really are now building on the excellent foundations laid in Level 1 & 2 and no doubt your confidence to converse with native speakers has grown.
We said it before but it’s worth repeating that many Filipinos speak reasonable enough English for you to manage. But being
