Updated: September 21, 2015Greetings.My name is Jerry Alatalo. I am an independent nonfiction writer and live on Lake Superior in Michigan in the United States. I attended Northern Michigan University and worked in the Chicago area for 22 years before starting writing in early 2012.During the past decades I have studied many writings on the subjects of geopolitics and spirituality. The reading of Leo Tolstoy's nonfiction powerhouse What Is Art?, considered by Mahatma Gandhi to be Tolstoy's masterpiece, Gandhi's All Men Are Brothers, and Rolling Thunder by Doug Boyd about the Native American medicine man named Rolling Thunder had profound effects on me. The Third Millennium by Ken Carey, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins, A Course in Miracles by Helen Schucman, A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn and many others in these genres would also rank high on my list of important books.Through writing I join in oneness with many fellow men and women around the Earth in the effort to create a new paradigm based on and powered by unconditional love. I started to research and write books in 2012, discovering along the way that we are all in ultimate reality one with each other, one with the universe and one with our Creator/God.I write on a range of important issues including economics, environment, GMO, money and banks, the media, war and peace, spirituality, etc. and propose solutions to problems in each of those areas. My motivation for writing is sharing with others in the expansion of love, peace, forgiveness and healing (physical, mental and spiritual) in this world. My new book "2016" (September 2015) covers what I consider the most pressing international issues of late 2015 moving forward.Reviews are important for a book's success and sales. Please consider taking a few moments to write your honest review - good, bad or ugly - of my books after reading them. Income from book sales allows me to do further research and writing along with enlarging the scope of my creative endeavors, in particular making documentary films. Constructive criticism is helpful to writers for future books as well. I greatly appreciate it.Thank you for your interest in my work. I hope reading my books provides real and lasting benefits for you. Peace and love to all people on Earth, Jerry

Dedication
And The World Will Live As One is dedicated to all people, all life, and all things
"The glory which thou hast given me I have given to them that they may be one as we are one. I in them and thou in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that thou hast sent me and hast loved them even as thou hast loved me."
– John: 22-23
Chapter 1. Welcome Brothers and Sisters.
"The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of men when they realize their relationship, their oneness with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize that at the center of the universe dwells the Great Spirit, and that this center is really everywhere, it is within each of us."
– Black Elk
Thank you for traveling to this place. May the time we spend together be of such a quality that understanding and brotherhood and peace will be increased upon this Earth. For these are our hopes and our prayers. They say that the longest journey begins with the first step. Now is where we take the first step on our sacred journey into eternity.
You reading these words are men, women and children; you are members of the family of man. You may be young or old, rich or poor, educated or not. You travel here from all parts of the Earth. Know this one thing for certain. You are a human being and you are an essential member of the family of man.
You are essential. Let us first be sure to define essential. Essential is defined as pertaining to, or constituting the essence of something; of the utmost importance; indispensible.
Can we consider the fact that every person, every animal, every plant and every mineral is essential and of utmost importance to life on this Earth?
It is a pleasure to meet you, brothers and sisters. Let us imagine that we are relaxing on a beach by an ocean, lake or river where the summer breeze blows gently on our faces. Here we have some escape from the stress and strain of modern life and here we can let our hair down, so to speak. Here we can simply be ourselves.
The writer wishes that you may soon come to the point where you can simply be yourself at all times. What does it mean for one to be his or herself? We shall delve into this question at various points as we move along in the journey through these words. Perhaps at this point we would say that it means that one is comfortable in one’s skin.
Please enjoy these cool drinks, friends. Let us become more acquainted with each other. The writer was born in a small town on Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of the state of Michigan in America. He began typing words into a laptop computer in the year 2012 and must say that it is a very interesting activity. Before 2012 we worked in a very busy retail store environment in the Chicago, Illinois area for a period of 22 years.
We have come to a place where the use of I
, my
and me
are avoided. This probably has much to do with an all too human, somewhat clumsy effort to reduce the power of the ego.
There is quite a contrast between that time of many human interactions whether person to person, phone, e-mail or fax and the solitary activity of typing into a laptop computer while alone in a room. To be open with you the idea of writing non-fiction books has been on the back burner since the middle 1980’s when we were attending classes at university. This was a time and place where we were introduced to the books in the university library which had a profound effect on our view of the world.
Had we known that the activity of writing was to become a reality it would have been a great thing to have kept a daily journal. If such a journal would have been kept we now could list all of the many fine books we read after checking them out of the university library. Perhaps you will know a little more about the writer if he mentions a few of the memorable titles. For some reason we were drawn to non-fiction books dealing with issues of geopolitics and spirituality. Books like All Men are Brothers
by Mahatma Gandhi, What is Art
by Leo Tolstoy and The Perennial Philosophy
by Aldous Huxley.
There was a period where there were always three or four books bookmarked at once. It was very interesting to come across ideas and thoughts dealing with the larger issues and questions of the world. Looking back there were some writings that we sometimes wish we had never come across which dealt with the realities of the planet. Certain revelations are of such intensity that it is impossible to unlearn them no matter how shocking. Perhaps this is simply the way it was supposed to take place during that time.
Those writers who pointed out the realities on Earth which contrasted greatly with commonly held views forever changed the reader’s way of looking at things. Reading about human events which are described in ways rarely, if ever, described on the mainstream media risks one’s ability to not become cynical. Let us state it this way. It is very challenging to maintain hope and optimism when one is exposed to the realities in this world.
"And while I stood there I saw more than I can tell and I understood more than I saw; for I was seeing in a sacred manner the shapes of all things in the spirit, and the shape of all shapes as they must live together like one being."
– Black Elk
Perhaps this challenge is part of the purpose of our existence. Logic would tell us that this must be the case. Whether consciously or subconsciously the writer has come to the point where there must be an effort made to defeat cynicism while helping in any way to restore hope and optimism for others. There is simply no other choice now but to exert effort by joining with others and trying to become part of the healing of humanity. Whether there is only one fellow human who will be healed to some extent or many millions does not matter.
What matters is that the attempt was made and there was no more turning away from those who were in need of help and healing. Perhaps with the first book or attempt there was some help given to a few others so there was some beneficial difference realized. So we write more and try again and maybe there are a few more who have received a certain amount of help and healing. Now we know that the absolutely most important factor in wanting to help and heal others is the willingness to try.
Now the writer has been honest with you about the reasons for his efforts at writing. It is our sincerest hope that there will be an improvement in the lives of those who take the journey through these words, thoughts and ideas. Ideally when this improvement is actualized it will be shared with others in a ripple-like manner to the point where substantial help and healing is manifested into many members of the family of man along with improvements in their realities.
At this point in human history many millions of men, women and children from every part of the Earth are grasping the feeling and desire to help and heal others. The writer is very thankful that he is most assuredly not alone in this endeavor. The reader, along with all persons with eyes to see, will not fail to notice the events in recent years which align with the growing desire by human beings to create a better world for all people.
Let us be so bold as to state that what humanity is experiencing in the year 2013 is so spiritually profound that this year will be forever remembered by future generations. It will be remembered as the year where the human race began to heal from historical miscreations and the injuries caused by wars, greed, harmfulness and dualistic thinking.
Dualistic thinking can be described as the way of looking at life where there is separation between people, separation between people and nature as well as separation between people and their Creator or God. Many spiritual traditions refer to
