As an LDS artist, this scripture speaks to me on many levels. As a creator of art—I am a writer, actor and filmmaker—the admonition for honesty and truth reminds me that I owe it to myself and my audience to address topics honestly and that I can take the experiences of life endured by myself and others and share them through my work. As a patron of the arts, I’m reminded to seek out all that is virtuous, lovely, of good report and praiseworthy.
