Introduction
Dips tend to be the things that you pick up last minute, without much thought and a resignation that you will end up with the same old worn out recipes that supermarkets love to specialize in. You will take them home and often only eat a little of each with the rest left to go off in the refrigerator. It doesn’t have to be like this. You can make your own dips. There are lots of different recipes that you can customize and make into your own specialities. With these dips you will be lucky to have enough to last the night. Sometimes I have made a dip for guests and ended up eating it before they arrive! This means that another batch has to be put together really quickly, but what the heck food is to be enjoyed, right?
Dips can make a snack or an appetizer. If you take a dip to parties you know that you have a winner when it quickly disappears and people keep asking you for the recipe. This can be fun in itself. It is also fun making a variation on a dip and then trying it out on your family and friends. Needless to say, some will be keepers and others won’t. Despite failures
