About this ebook

To face her past she must find her faith.

Lacey Jennings has worked hard to build her hotel into Lincoln County’s finest – no thanks to Blaine Jennings, the cheating, no-good husband who abandoned her three years ago. And with Blaine’s betrayal branded on her heart, Lacey can’t see clear to accept the marriage proposal from Sheriff Ed Randall, the man who’s loved and protected her since Blaine disappeared. So when Blaine shows up at her hotel, Lacey is ready to run him straight out of town...and so is the sheriff.

One look at Lacey, the raven-haired belle of Lincoln County, and Blaine Jennings wants to sweep her into his arms – in spite of her hatred and mistrust. But Blaine is a changed man. He knows God wants him to court his wife, not seduce her – and he’s succeeding...until his past catches up with him.

Lacey is devastated, torn about what to do. Piece her life back together with the sheriff by her side? Or believe in Blaine – the only true love she’s ever experienced, and the only man she’s given her heart to...twice.

I always find it amusing when the moral of the story is more about the heroine forgiving the hero for his infidelity, than it is about the hero learning that infidelity isn't his god-given right!!

He cheated on her many times, left her for another woman but he found God and now he wants his wife back. She however has a lover and drinks herself stupid. It just wasn't for me. It's a historical story set in Kansas I think. It was pretty messed up.
