The Driving Coach - Per-Erik Persson
The road to my driver’s license
I was 17 years old the first time I tried to get my driver’s licence. I had practiced at home, felt self-confident and thought that it would be easy to get my licence. I gave up after four lessons and let my bitterness be known for the next 10 years. Had someone told me then what I am about to tell you in the Driving Coach, I would have had my driver’s licence at that point. I would have been able to apply for more jobs and would not have been so dependent on other people – I would also have been spared the bitterness and would not have had to start from scratch with a new driving permit and new lessons.
What I didn’t know then was that all learning follows a pattern. This pattern can be divided into curiosity, resistance, discipline and success, and is reflected in several areas, in relationships for example. Once we learn the pattern, we are better equipped to face challenges. I have boiled down my experience in the Driving Coach, so that you will learn the pattern quickly and easily and, most importantly, know how to handle yourself when it appears.
The biggest challenge for everyone is how to handle the second phase, resistance. This is where the wheat is separated from the chaff, and where you lay the foundation for your results. It is easy to become bitter if you give up – believe me, I have been there. If you become angry, it is easy to get stuck and it is costly to get a driver’s licence – I have been there too. The Driving Coach gives you the key to control your thoughts so that you can move forward quickly and create the right conditions to become a confident
