    ...But then it occurred to me that this effort he was making for this woman was relatively cheap: a matter of spending some money, cooking some meals. Once he had comprehensively won her he would simply revert to being his usual self; getting overly drunk, carelessly leaving his dirty plates lying around. The effort I would require from him would amount to a whole change of nature, a lifelong commitment to outstanding behaviour that accompanies fervent faith - I emphasise this very strongly on my blog! On my relationships blog I make it very clear that I am not looking for a man who merely says that he is a Christian; rather I am looking for the demonstrable fruits of a radically Christlike nature, and I am going to watch and evaluate for long enough to make sure that it is sincere, rather than just an elaborate pretence. Therefore, the effort that he would need to put in to be with me is unspeakably more expensive than the few meals he had cooked for her – and he knows it - and realising that cheered me up no end!
