About this ebook

Ewould had spent his life in an uneasy compromise between his true self and the pressures of his parents and society. No matter what body he'd been born with, he was male. That changed the day he buried his husband. Come what may, Ewould decided to seize his destiny and set for to transform himself into the person he should always have been.

Transformations is a powerful fantasy story of truth, identity and forcing the world to accept you as you truly are.

    Transformations - Meyari McFarland

    Transformations

    By Meyari McFarland

The sun edged up over the mountains surrounding the valley, spears of light lancing down towards the town. Instead of warming people's windows, the wall shielded the houses inside so that they lingered in darkness. Ewould smiled at the sun, shutting his eyes and breathing deep.

Then he started walking again, following a narrow deer trail through the scrubby wind-twisted pines that haunted the higher slopes of the mountain. He could see the dark outline of the Mage's cave high overhead. By the time Ewould got there it would be mid-day, as long as he kept going.

So Ewould kept going. His shoes were too thin, fine soft leather for soles, embroidered silk on the uppers, but he didn't care. They'd be gone soon enough. Gone with the skirt, the stupid fat bags on his chest and everything that tied him to the life he'd lived.

    The sooner, the better.

Ewould sighed as he reached the top of the ridge, thighs burning from the climb. His lungs burned too, unused to the cold, clear air after too long cramped in town, hunched over a kitchen stove. The lack of a corset didn't help. His breasts, damned fat
