About this ebook

Guiberson, fascinating facts and spectacular illustrations will inspire young readers to choose their own favorite dinosaurs!
Brenda Z. Guiberson
Brenda Z. Guiberson has written many books for children, including Cactus Hotel, Spoonbill Swamp, Moon Bear and Disasters. As a child, Brenda never thought she wanted to be a writer—her dreams tended more toward jungle explorer. She graduated from the University of Washington with degrees in English and Fine Art. She started thinking about writing for children when her son went to elementary school, and she volunteered in his class and in the school library. After taking exciting trips that involved a fifty-foot cactus, hungry alligators and sunset-colored spoonbills, she wanted to create books for children that would be like a field trip. Her books are full of well-researched detail, and Brenda sees this research as an adventure—one that allows her to be a jungle explorer at last. She lives in Seattle, Washington.

Reviews for The Greatest Dinosaur Ever

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Delightful illustrations. Each dinosaur gets a two-page spread and some very simple text. There are endnotes that give a little more detail about the dinosaurs. Some of the text is a bit awkwardly phrased, but that doesn't detract too much from the enjoyment.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I honestly don’t know a better way to start my Friday than to read about dinosaurs. This book, of course, hit on the ones everyone knows like T-Rex and Stegosaurus, but it also featured some I’d never heard of like Therizinosaurus (which may be my new favorite since it was described as having weird arms). I was a little sad not to see Velociraptors because I am a diehard Jurassic Park fan, but there were other raptors featured, and the Troodon as described seemed like it could’ve given Blue a run for her money. Just like when I finished reading Mousetronaut I have the sudden need to get my hands on every dinosaur book out there. I still have to finish bingeing the 20+ books on space I checked out because of Mousetronaut though.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Twelve dinosaurs state the case for why they are the greatest and readers can decide in this handsomely illustrated book. A dino lovers delight.
