Have you ever considered travelling to the Philippines?
Somewhere in the Far East is a country that remains unknown to most of the traveling community. She is called the Philippines; a true gem of a destination, and it’s no wonder that it’s been given the nickname “The Pearl of the Orient”.
The Philippines is a small archipelagic country framed by Taiwan to the North, Vietnam to the west, and Borneo and the islands of Indonesia to its south. It’s separated from the famous backpacker trail that has made Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos popular. Although you’ll need to hop on a plane to experience the Philippines, anyone who’s seen most of Southeast Asia will tell you that it will be well worth it.
The country is still considered off-the-beaten-path when compared to its Asian neighbors. However, travelers especially those on a budget will be delighted to find that it’s possible to stretch your dollars in the Philippines and obtain bang for buck. Travelers also take comfort in the fact that the Philippines is an English-speaking country. It’s relatively easy to get around and ask for information almost anywhere you are.
Dare I say that the Philippines has the best of Asia all rolled into one stunning country. It also has the excellent food, nightlife, shopping, history and culture attracts millions of travelers all over the world to the region. The Philippines has much to offer the traveler who is willing to take a risk. Buy a ticket and visit the country that’s been called paradise, only in the most elite of traveler communities, by those who have been lucky enough to land on its white sand shores. In fact, it’s no longer uncommon to meet expatriates who have made the Philippines their home after their first visit; unable to resist the charm and vibe.
