About this series
Aravel stood at the bow of the Harmonious Song, studying the twin cities of Yuzuki and Masumi in Chinwendu.
Halfway around the world from home, Aravel didn't expect to find an old enemy stirring up the same stupid strife.
But Delbhana Cahan had married into the Ito and turned them against Aravel's cousins in the Damura so it fell to him to fix the problem.
No matter what the cost.
Titles in the series (17)
- Fight Smarter
2
Gavin wasn’t terribly pleased to be tapped as unofficial Clan heir. He’d rather just learn how the business ran and help his relatives. But when his little sister Anwyn came home with dreadful injuries, Gavin realized that it wasn’t just paperwork. He was responsible for lives. He had to fight for them all. More importantly, he had to be smart about it. Or everyone would pay the price.
- Hide and Seek
3
Aravel hummed happily as he carefully picked up the white yarn, working it into the blue ribbing for Mother's new socks. Then Anwyn wailed. Her fury at being bedridden made knitting impossible so Aravel went hunting for something better to do. Hide and seek for all the kids beaconed. So did a secret romance, a trade deal and the possibility of fresh baked cookies. If he could just seal the deal.
- The City of the Ladies
1
Anwyn hated Delbhana Siobhan. The worst thing she could imagine was spending time with her. So going to the Delbhana's big party in their new park on the river was a horrible, no-good idea that she didn't get to veto. Even with pastries and her twin brother Cadfael at her side, Anwyn didn't know if she could keep from punching Siobhan right in the nose. Or escape getting punched, either.
- Fitting In
4
Trips around the world excited Cadfael's twin Anwyn but sailing was torture for him. Seasick looking at boats, Cadfael would rather stay home. Except that home was torture, too. Too many women assuming they could touch whatever they wanted. Once he got on the ship, though, things began to change for the better. Ntombi was better still. Could Ntombi life suit him when he'd never fit in at home?
- Stormy Arrival
5
Anwyn strained her ears to hear what Doctor Bernice said to Father. Ages and ages bedridden from her broken ribs and ankle; she couldn't stand staying in bed any longer. Not one more minute. She didn't care if there was a storm, she wanted to go out to the docks. See the ships. But she'd only get to if Doctor Bernice would give her crutches at long last.
- Tales from the Dana Clanhouse
7
The Dana Clan: wild, unpredictable and bafflingly successful traders. Their children were even wilder, challenging social norms and each other at every turn. This collection of short stories reveals the world of the Dana Clanhouse and it’s many residents. Includes: The City of the Ladies Fight Smarter Hide and Seek Stormy Arrival Repair and Rebuild Also includes an excerpt of the novel Fitting In.
- Repair and Rebuild
6
"It's really broken," Raelin said as she followed Mother around the Tourmaline Seas' hulk. The Tourmaline Seas barely made it back to port, masts broken and hull cracked. Raelin volunteered to work at Mistress Chie's shipyard in hopes of repairing and rebuilding her favorite ship. The real question was not if it could be fixed but if the Delbhana would let them keep her once she sailed once more.
- Tea and Knives
Cadfael desperately needed to look grown up. Desperately. The day had gone from bad to worse as disasters piled on and now he was the only one who could entertain the Affrica sisters until grown-ups were available. But looking grown meant grown-up attention and Cadfael wasn't all sure he was ready to deal with that. At least not without a knife in his hands.
- Storm Over Archaelaos
8
Archaelaos: Distant island where men ruled, against all the laws of nature. When Anwyn’s friend Iola got a letter to come home, Anwyn decided to go with her. A quick trip to a strange land might also get the Dana a new trade deal. What could go wrong? But the trip revealed plots against the Dana that Anwyn could never have anticipated. If she wasn’t careful, Anwyn could doom everyone she loved.
- Coming Together
9
The last thing Mari expected when she and her sisters arrived in Aingeal City with a load of Dana trade goods was to land squarely in the middle of a marriage alliance. But with a Delbhana plot threatening everyone, that’s what Mari had. Question was whether Mari could bear to leave the open road for city life and marriage? Though Dana Gavin made the idea far more tempting than Mari expected.
- Facing the Storm
When the Tourmaline Seas docked in Atalya, Raelin expected a normal port of call: trade, exploration, loading cargo. What she got was a stunning offer, threats from the Delbhana and an unexpected need to step into her elder's shoes. The rest of the trip home to Aingeal raised the stakes for Raelin and her beloved ship as the lives of everyone on board rested in Raelin's unprepared hands.
- Delicate Introduction
The six days between new and old year in Aingeal were a time of feasting and family. Gwen was more than happy to feast. She'd rather spend less time helping her brother Cadfael shop instead of eating. Until Tierney Nolan walked in and stole her heart. Unfortunately, Gwen had no hope of more, not when Nolan's family had nothing to offer the Dana and every reason to want her to go away.
- The Solace of Her Clan
Eoghania's quiet live changed when a man from her past tried to rob the Dana. Sean didn't want to break any laws. He certainly didn't want to fight the Dana. But he had two infant daughters who would die without his support. Their marriage of convenience might save Sean and his daughters' or it might destroy Eoghania. Taking a chance on each other was their best hope of freedom. And love.
- Luck of the Dana
Lovely. Gwen glared at the swiftly sinking Drifting Cloud and cursed her luck. Mother giving birth, Captain Nia's leg broken, everyone else busy with a myriad of disasters: this was all on her. Something had punched a hole in the Drifting Cloud's hull and it was Gwen's job to figure out what. If only she could do it without her former friend Sila dogging her steps.
- Homecoming
Raelin stared out over the sea, trying to figure out what had her on edge. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary for an approach to Aingeal Bay. But there was a baby volcano under the surface of the water and plots back in port to destroy the Dana so maybe Raelin's nerves had a good cause. The only question Raelin had was just how much trouble they were all in this time.
- Running From the Storm
Political plots? Check. Injured shoulder? Yes, check. Still. An infatuated enemy directly opposing her? Oh yes, another check. Raelin's shore leave while the Tourmaline Dreams was refitted and refurbished was the worst one yet. Constant pain and exhaustion dragged at her as she tried to protect the Dana, figure out Sinead's actions and, hardest of all... ...Save the Delbhana Clan from themselves.
