The book also introduces many tools that are needed to measure length.The illustrations are cartoon characters used to demonstrate to children how to measure objects. This book would be great for elementary classrooms. I rate this book a 5 out of 5 because it provides accurate information about the metric and U.S. customary system and is entertaining and will grab the attention of young children.
Rating: 5The story, "How Wide of How Long" is a math information book about measuring length. The story has many different scenarios were length is the answer. This was a great story to use when introducing measuring length to the students. The book as definitions and a clear plott that truly helps explain the concept to the students.
Rating: 3This was a fabulous book! They used rhymes to talk about measurement and I used a kind of singsong voice to read the book and even my 3 year old was running around the rest of the day talking about inches and feet and centimeters. The illustration was great and very engaging for children.
