      The GoPro Hero 3 is one of the most innovative and affordable cameras on the market. It’s easy to use and gives its users quick access to social media sites to share creations. It even has its own built in WiFi. It is 30% smaller and 25% lighter than its predecessors.

      Chances are, you picked up this eBook because you own a GoPro Hero 3. You’ve probably figured out all of the basic things that the camera is capable of doing. You are ready to move forward and learn some of the more advanced things that your camera is capable of doing. You are ready to take better action shots.

      In this eBook, you learn how to do more than use the more advanced features of the GoPro Hero 3. You will also learn a couple of excellent things you can do to preserve the life of your camera and take better pictures.

      It’s important to note that this eBook focuses mainly on the GoPro Hero 3 black edition camera because it is the edition that most people own. That’s not to say that you can’t use this eBook if you have the white or silver edition. You can. You should just realize that your settings may be different for some of the tutorials. Many of the rig building set ups will still work. Just make sure that you have the appropriate GoPro mount.

      Chapter 1 – Light Painting

      This is a really cool effect that you can accomplish with your GoPro Hero 3 camera. For this technique, you will use still photos and the time lapse interval mode. Each frame only captures about half of a second of action before it moves on to the next shot. The longest possible exposure in still shot mode is at F 2.8 with the ISO set at
