America in the 21st Century - kathleen babbitt

    A DEDICATION

My first book, published in 1996, was HOW TO BE HEALTHIER, WEALTHIER, HAPPY AND WISE, with a subtitle What You Need To Know To Be Healthy. Nobody seemed to get that the title was a play on the Benjamin Franklin saying Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, happy and wise. But it didn’t really matter if they did. Instead, the subtitle would have been a better title. Supposedly titles sell books, and make or break their success. It was carried at Barnes and Noble and Books a Million for two years, but it wasn’t a big success. The owner of a natural foods company in California wrote a great comment about the book that I put on the front cover. It was a perfect description and summary of the book. He said Babbitt.....shines the light of truth and knowledge into the darkness of ignorance, destruction, and greed. It was simple and to the point in the most important ways. I was grateful that he took the time from his busy schedule to read my manuscript and give me that perfect quote for the cover.

He told me he read it while flying on a plane to a business destination. A week or two later he tragically disappeared while he was on a skiing trip in the Shasta Mountains in California. His whereabouts was unknown. It seemed impossible to have happened. It was hard to believe. They found his parked small plane, not crashed, not damaged, but he was never found. He had disappeared without a trace into the vastness of the wilderness of the Shasta Mountains. It was a tragedy. He was a good, kind, and honorable man, leaving a grieving family behind.

He did the best he could do to make life better for people. He tried to make the World a better place to live in. This is what all people should do, but few really do. He was only about 45 years old. Maybe the dimension he disappeared into, if that was in fact what happened, was a better place to live in. For many years, at least a hundred years, there have been stories about how people have disappeared in the Shasta Mountains into some other dimension, or dimensions, and that the Shasta Mountains have some mysterious connection and porthole into another realm, into this other dimension or dimensions. There would be no way to prove or disprove such a claim.

That same statement that he wrote for that book, his statement, is a perfect description and summary of this book. So I'm using it again for this book, in memory of him, and in gratitude. Because he can't give me permission to do that I'm not using his name. This book is dedicated to all people, both living and dead, who have tried to make the World a better place to live in.

Babbitt.....shines the light of truth and knowledge into the darkness of ignorance, destruction, and greed.

Seek and ye shall find......but not what you were looking for.

    CHAPTER ONE

Freedom, If You Can Keep It

This book is about social injustices, social and cultural issues, social and cultural trends, the American economy, liberty and freedom in America, foreign affairs, Government corruption, corporate corruption, the American people, violations of human rights, political deception, Federal Government deception, exploitation, and other controversial issues in America in the 21st century. It’s good to know that some things will never change. It’s good to know that some things will definitely change. But it’s disturbing to not know how they will change, or if they will change for the better, or if life will actually be better when they do change.

As always, what’s done is done. But the repercussions just go on and on. Endlessly, forever and ever. This is true for individual people, for families, for groups of people, for organizations, for governments, and for entire countries and civilizations. It’s a universal predicament.

Having a partner in business or personal life, or being married, means having someone to help you get where you want to go in life. Or not. Someone to help you follow your dreams. Or not. The same is true of a national Government that is a democracy, a true democracy. Most other Democracies in the World, 23 of them, help their citizens get where they want to go in life, help them to have a better life. But in America, in general, this doesn't happen unless you’re black, or at least a small part black, or are in the upper echelons of society, therefore a person of related value, a person of greater importance in the larger scheme of things for the 21st century.

A government that’s a democracy is supposed to help all individual people, everyone equally and without discrimination. But that’s not what happens in America. Corruption dominates. It’s easy to lie and cover the truth at all levels of society and government. As an example, something as simple as reporting the unemployment rate can easily report less than half of the true and actual rate of unemployment. The expendable masses are indeed expendable. Telling the truth is not necessary.

For every two people that get a job in America two more people give up looking and fall by the wayside. After unemployment insurance runs out, after it officially ends, they are no longer counted in the state and federal unemployment figures, as if they no longer mattered in the scheme of things.

Since 2001 an unknown number of American citizens have been labeled terrorists because of what they have written about, while having no guns, no bombs, and no connections with any Middle Eastern countries, and/or their Governments. They are punished for their words, only their words, not their actions. In fact, these Americans are especially patriotic, having greater courage than most other Americans to tell the truth about what they have seen, about what they have experienced and personally known about. An unknown number of these Americans have been secretly arrested by Federal, state, and local law enforcement and imprisoned indefinitely without charges or trials, or legal representation. No lawyers or attorneys are allowed. Due process of the law, as guaranteed by The Constitution, is denied, and has been denied since 2001 because of The Patriot Act.

This is the opposite of a democracy, yet no one can stop it. It is easily done. Illegal actions done secretly can easily have no evidence or proof. The Constitutional guarantee of due process under the law has mostly disappeared for everyone in America except for the elite, or maybe the upper 10% in general. No one really knows what has been happening since 2001.

In 1962 President Kennedy said Let us welcome controversial authors and controversial subjects. This is no longer true. Times change, but not always for the better. Often they get worse.

In order to stop injustices of all kinds the people need to be informed, so they can stop injustices in order to have a better country, a better America. But that's not what happens. Not in America anyway. Injustices often can't be stopped. The majority of Americans are easily lied to and manipulated to support injustices. This has long been the American way.

In a democracy the truth belongs to everyone. But in America, in reality, it can be dangerous to tell the truth. Telling the truth about the Government, about politicians, officials, authorities, and about businesses and corporations can mean losing your job, being evicted from where you live, being black-listed, etc. Too often equality and equal rights are just words.

Public officials, law enforcement, and politicians serve the law. As a result they can easily be above the law. They can easily be in bed with the law. Manipulating and twisting the truth, or laws, while manipulating and twisting the system for their own benefits. They don't have to follow the rules. It's easy to make up their own rules and be above the law. It’s an abuse of power, secrecy, ignoring laws, and ignoring The Constitution and The Bill of Rights, both of which are supposed to be protection for all Americans but aren’t. It has become the status quo for people at the top, the very rich, the American elite, including becoming the American elite through inheritance instead of capability and accomplishment.

More than 30 million people are in the upper 10%. That’s not exactly the privileged few, but instead the privileged 30 million. This sets America apart from other Democracies. The American elite make up a country of their own. In America there are not equal rights and equal protection under the law. There are rights and protections for the expendable masses and there are different and special rights and protections for the elite, for the privileged 30 million people in America. It isn’t just the upper 1% but instead probably the upper 10%.

What is happening to the democracy in America? It has never been true that united we stand and divided we fall. Since the beginning of America it has been divided and rarely united. Now, in the 21st century, perhaps Americans are more divided than ever before. The two Party political system guarantees and ensures perpetual lack of unity between the Democrats and the Republicans. The Congress and the Senate are always at odds, guaranteeing a divided country.

If hundreds or thousands of Americans, or even millions of Americans, protest peacefully about anything about the Federal Government they are called terrorists. Since after 9/11, in 2001, they are attacked, clubbed, sprayed with poison, or shot at, and killed. In fact, they are the ones that have been terrorized by their own state and Federal Government, by the military, by local police, by the National Guard, all of which can shoot and kill any American any time they want to, especially if they are labeled terrorists. That one all-inclusive word has enabled the Federal Government to control and manipulate people in America, because of fear of the known and fear of the unknown. Except for the privileged elite, 30 million of them, who are protected and given special privileges, like the twisting and distorting of the law for their own purposes.

Starting in the 1970's peaceful protesting for peace and against wars was tolerated no more by the Federal Government. For 40 years that Constitutional right has been silently taken away from Americans in armed Government confrontations with Americans who thought they still had the right to protest what their Government was doing because that’s what it says in their Constitution and in their Bill of Rights. It’s supposed to be the people’s national Government , but it has been being eroded away, silently disappearing and secretly being taken away by politicians, elected or not. Freedom, if we can keep it, is what Benjamin Franklin said about 250 years ago. It’s still true.

Americans don't know that their rights can disappear with the stroke of a pen or the touch of a computer key, as has happened with the loss of seven rights since 2001, and with the endless political dishonesty and lies allowed, beginning with the Presidential elections of 2000. Americans think their elected representatives will take care of them and watch out for them. That is very naïve. In fact, Americans have not been able to stop any destruction of their rights, any Governmental injustices, or any violations of their civil rights. Like a dictator, the national Government didn’t ask for the people’s permission by voting, as would be expected in a democracy, about the dissolution and elimination of seven citizen’s Constitutional rights. Like with any dictatorship or totalitarian government, or autocratic government, many civil rights in America have become civil wrongs in the estimation of those in power.

In the 21st century America has been a kind of democracy, but not a true democracy, like the other 23 Democracies in the World are. No one in America, and no groups in America, can do anything to change these realities and social and cultural changes for the 21st century. Because the United States started as an experiment, because the Constitution was also an experiment, change was always a necessary possibility, always looming in the shadows. But change in any part had to be a result of public voting and participation by all adult Americans. However, the American people are not as much a part of the total process any more, since the manipulated elections of 2000. It just seems like they are, which is another manipulation, another illusion. It always comes down to power, control, profit and money, the reasons for almost everything in life, and the essential reasons for all government and politics at all levels.

The people who rule America change what they want to change when they want it to change, to give them greater control of the government and the expendable masses. A government that works against part of its citizens, secretly and in the open, cannot be a true democracy. Just like law enforcement that works against part of the law-abiding public, like targeting a segment of the population that is against illegal drugs, against buying and using, is not serving and protecting everyone equally, as they are legally and ethically required do.

Preferential treatment, special treatment, happens everywhere every day. On an individual basis, a family that excludes and works against members of that family is not really a family in the true sense of what a family is supposed to be. It’s a kind of family, a dysfunctional family, but not in the true and best sense of the idea of family, the true concept of family in America. Changes in all parts of life are inevitable. The trick is to change in the right direction. When more than 300 million people are involved this is impossible. Especially when they are constantly politically divided, as Republicans and Democrats. Political unity is rare.

To unite Americans natural catastrophes and tragedies, and attacks, invasions, wars and occupations in other countries, always very small countries, are allowed to happen or are created and produced, with their resulting political and social problems often lasting for years.Since 2000 political arguments and political division are always looming in the shadows, uniting Americans through diversity and being in a perpetual state of war, giving the Government freedom to do anything.

Why would the American Democracy, the Federal Government, give its citizens misinformation, disinformation, and lies? For power and control, mostly of the expendable masses. It's one of the lasting legacies of the Bush W/Cheney Neo Con administration, that is now even reinforced by Democrats leaning towards the Neo Con’s distorted manipulative value systems and goals. Perhaps they get pay-offs, the traditional advantage for politicians. When the whole system is corrupt then corruption feeds on corruption. This is true everywhere, and at all levels of society. So much of life, of living, is just a judgement call, or somebody’s opinion versus other people's opinions. This is true for everyone everywhere, not just for Americans.

It’s just a part of the human predicament. Presidential speeches are written by their personal writers. They are somebody else's opinions, ideas, words, and judgment calls. Obama said to reporters before reading his second inaugural speech in 2013, when asked what he was going to talk about, We’ll see what they have for me to say. Yet, inauguration speeches are always stupidly debated about on TV and radio, written about in newspapers, belabored and dissected by the media like they were the words of God. Or the actual words and thoughts and plans and promises of a President, any and all Presidents, when they are not. It’s so easy to manipulate the American people.

That is just one big example of how the media blows things out of proportion. Another big example was the April 2013 bombings in Boston by two brothers, that got excessive obsessively repetitive Cable TV coverage 24/7 for days. The same useless but controlling information over and over again for days was almost like after 9/11 in 2001. The constant repetition for both was like brainwashing. For both it was media propaganda, for power and control of the public.

Retaliation, vendettas, vengeance are not just an Italian thing. It happens everywhere i America too, at all levels. It's a cultural and social thing for all people. Historically, anywhere in America, Senators and Congressmen and Congresswomen, and Presidents and any other politicians, can have people killed, or make them secretly disappear. If there's no media or Press coverage things can be hidden from the public. If the media is wrong or incomplete or slanted the public gets the wrong idea and has been manipulated by the media. Public reactions are easily manipulated by the media and by the Press, and by whoever the media gets their information from. Their dishonesty and lies, their disinformation and misinformation.

It's all a game. It’s not just a Communist Government thing, or an anarchist or dictator government thing. It’s also an American political and Federal Government thing. It’s a social and political reality now in the 21st century more than ever before. But it’s important to remember that both the media and the Press give its audience what they want, in order to get advertising sponsors and political support. The search for the truth in reporting has mostly ended.

There's only a thin line between government control and political control of the media. A Press that isn't free, a media that isn't free to report what it wants to report, means the people aren’t free. There has to be freedom to report the truth, freedom to investigate and search for the truth. Otherwise the people, the expendable masses, are controlled. Typically, people aren't interested in things until they are affected by them, so political and Government control of the media and of the Press is easy, like it was after 9/11 in 2001, when the duty to report the truth and public trust in the Press and the media began to disappear.

The artificially prolonged and extended elections of 2000, historical for their vast and endless dishonesty and manipulations, opened the floodgates for dishonesty and manipulation on a national scale, at all levels everywhere. After all, if it's OK to do it at the top then it must be OK to do it everywhere. What starts at the top will inevitably filter down to the bottom in societies, in all cultures. It’s like how kids copy their parents. It seems dishonesty and lies are expected, accepted and excused since after 9/11 in 2001, starting at the top and filtering down to the bottom in America.

There seems to have been a cultural shift, a collective shift in value systems and attitudes that are subtle but unmistakable. Usually people can get used to anything if they live with it long enough, if they have to get used to it. It can be a necessary way to keep a job, or for career advancement, or to succeed anywhere at anything. It’s become a part of the American culture, more than before 2000. It’s almost the American way in the 21st century. Degradation of a culture has many components and losses. Loss of integrity is one of the major losses that is very difficult to regain. It’s so much easier to lie. Being dishonest is fun, and it’s controlling, a kind of power easily gained.

There are many reasons millions of Americans don't trust their Government, both state and federal, local governments and the Federal Government. Making something that's wrong seem right and making something seem right that is really wrong aren't exclusively the methods of the legal world and the world of law enforcement. Diverting public attention is commonly done by politicians, by the Press and by the media, and is often a necessary part of social manipulation. As an example, who really took the photos of the two brothers in April 2013 just before they set off explosions with their home-made crude bombs in Boston? Perhaps it was someone connected with the Federal Government, the FBI, or the military, that had been watching them but didn’t stop them. Perhaps it was a set-up allowed to happen to galvanize the people of Boston and the rest of the United States, to unify America against terrorism in the United States, to expand support for American military actions for the declared war on terrorism.

One of the brothers was killed, then the other one was caught. The Federal Government officials said he would not be told about his Miranda Rights, even though that was his legal right because he was a naturalized American citizen. Not one of the more than 300 million expendable masses in America could have stopped this violation of his Constitutional rights. It was another proof that the Federal Government can and does take away Constitutional rights without impunity, without conscience, without legal repercussions.

Perhaps it was a Government PR job. After spending hundreds of billions of dollars every year allegedly against terrorists and to uncover terrorists how is it that these two brothers from Russia were not detected and uncovered before they caused havoc, chaos, and death to happen in Boston? If they were being watched then the Government was derelict in not stopping them. It seems that the FBI, the CIA, and Federal Government politicians periodically let tragedies happen, or causes them to happen. Like police and deputies do on a local level instead of stopping crimes and problems from happening, especially when it is connected to illegal drug activity and drug dealers. Freedom is a nebulous thing. Freedom, if you can keep it for all Americans, not just for the at least 30 million elite in America and for the rulers of America.

So far in the 21st century the CIA is mostly a secretive killing machine and a secret man-hunting machine. Secret intelligence work has become more of a military secret intelligence agenda since after 2001. The CIA is in charge of drones. Eventually drones will be used in America against Americans, killing Americans who are innocent of any wrong doing because they are so-called collateral damage or so-called enemies of the United States, but really are United States citizens with no charges or crimes or convictions. For many years the United States Government has justified killing millions of people throughout the World. The death of almost 300 people on 9/11 in 2001 was called collateral damage by some politicians, including President Bush W. More than a million people living in America who are citizens of America are on lists of so-called potential enemies of the United States. It’s a kind of out of control but controlling insanity that includes housewives, elderly people, politicians, religious leaders, and other innocuous disinterested people.

Anybody and everybody is helpless against drones falling out of the sky. They rarely hit whoever they are aimed at. More than 1000 innocent civilians in other countries have been killed, including babies and children, murdered by American drones and justified as collateral damage. Since after 2001 drones have been used in America’s secret wars that have been being conducted since the 1960’s, starting with Viet Nam before the American public was informed. Drones facilitate covert targeted killing, that also kills bystanders near the targeted enemies of America, or terrorists, or enemy combatants. That can include Americans living in America and living in other countries, since after 9/11 in 2001. The President has to give the OK to send drones to kill anyone. So each of the murders are officially approved from the highest level of authority in America.

This includes the official collateral damage of extra thousands of people injured and dead from the American drones, a product of the secretive Government Area 51 UFO, ETV, and captive ET research and development, that cost at least a trillion dollars of taxpayer’s dollars every year, mostly stolen from the Social Security Fund since the Neo Con takeover in 2001. Connect the dots, and follow the money, to find the answers for almost everything.

In theory this is all unscrupulous, mean, and dishonorable. But the governments of any country can do the same things. Manipulation of citizens is easy for any national government to do. The issue always is, the question always is, will a government take advantage of their inherent power over their own people, the citizens, or will they have integrity and do what is right. It’s so easy to not do what is right, starting at the top, including in America.

The same thing happens in United States courtrooms. Excluding evidence in trials to protect the criminals means murderers are set free, criminals are set free, but the victims of crimes are protected by no one. Not by lawyers or by Judges. United States laws protect the criminal, the perpetrator, the accused, especially if it’s a man, and trivializes the crime if it happened to a woman. This is nothing new. As an example, no one knows how many girls and women were falsely accused of being witches, or of being unfaithful to their husbands, in the 1600’s and the 1700’s in America. A charge of adultery, requiring no proof or evidence, meant they were burned at the stake, or hung as a result of excessively religious, mean, and self-righteous Americans.

Christianity has been the reason for millions of innocent people being killed throughout the World. Christianity has justified, and has been the reason for, an unbelievable amount of misery in the World for about 2000 years. Suffering, death, torture, and misery, all in the name of God and Christianity. The Puritans weren’t pure after all. They were selfish, vindictive, and mean, killing whole Indian villages, including entire villages of Indians while they were sleeping. Often the actions of Puritans, and the rest of the people invading, conquering and occupying America for about 300 years, was mean, selfish, dishonest, lying, vicious, condescending, arrogant, and caused the suffering and death of hundreds of millions of Native Indians in America for more than 300 years.

It had been their land, their country, for thousands of years before the white foreign invaders came, and they were willing to share it. Indians never broke treaties, not one treaty in 250 years, but white men, powerful authoritative white leaders, always broke treaties. The conquering white men, at all levels everywhere, lied most of the time, to all of the 500 Indian nations, to their leaders. That is the ugly legacy of white men in America since its beginnings.

Since the 1800’s if a man kills his wife he’ll get 5 to 15 years in prison and be out in 3 or 4 years. If a woman kills her husband, even if it’s justified as self-defense, she'll get life in prison or death. Unless she’s a member of the elite, with the best and the most expensive lawyers. The rich are different. They have more money and they have better lawyers.

In courtrooms witnesses and victims are usually forbidden to talk about what they heard, or saw, or know about. Just like American soldiers are forbidden to talk about, or write about, whatever they experience, know, or see, or hear while they are in the military. Discrepancies in the American legal system are a sad and sorrowful reminder of proof that America is not a true democracy. As a result, millions of people have suffered because of injustices since it all began in the 1600’s. As a result, since it all began at least a million people have been unjustly accused, wrongly accused, and wrongly executed, most of them men, or wrongly imprisoned for life in American prisons. This is more ugly proof that America is not a true democracy.

It has always needed to be fixed but nobody will do it. It's not a thing that only one person can do. Many people would be needed to fix it, but unity, harmony, and competency are difficult to find in a country that is always divided, in the United States of America. Since the 1960’s Americans who try to change things that obviously need fixing by protesting peacefully are clubbed, gassed, shot at, beaten, and killed. Or jailed, imprisoned, or secretly detained, with or without trials and legal representation. This had made America a potentially dangerous place to live in, especially since 2001, for those Americans who still think they live in a true democracy. Seven Constitutional Rights and protections for citizens had disappeared by 2003, eliminated, destroyed, by the Neo Cons in power.

This isn't what happens in a true democracy. It's what happens in a closed society, and in other forms of government. Sadly, no one can change this. Sadly, hundreds of millions of Americans can't change much of anything in America now, in the 21st century. But the illusions of power for the people continue, until individuals, one by one, learn for themselves that their democracy in America has seriously shifted and changed, in ways most citizens of any democracies would not want their country and its government to change. Change is not always for the better. Instead, change is often for the worse.

Supposedly ignorance is bliss. The Japanese Government has never allowed the truth about Japan starting World War II to be written about in Japanese books, history books for schools, and in newspapers, etc. Or talked about by teachers in Japan, to their students. In Japan the Japanese people have always been taught that the United States started World War II. History is always selective, for all countries, only revealing what a national Government wants known.

So Japan's history books and history teachers never revealed the truth about Japanese planes attacking Pearl Harbor and killing about 3000 American people innocent of any wrong doing, thereby starting World War II. They also don’t reveal the atrocities and unbelievable cruelties of the Japanese military, of the Japanese soldiers, to American soldiers and to their allies, and to their prisoners of war.

American history books don’t reveal how the United States military and President Franklin Roosevelt had been told by several countries, like Australia, that they had seen Japanese bomber planes flying towards Hawaii and the United States Naval base there. Military leaders later said they thought those Japanese fighter planes were going to the Philippines. Either way, President Roosevelt did nothing to stop them. Nothing was done to warn the Navy personnel on the Unites States Navy ships in the harbors of Hawaii, or to warn the civilians living nearby on the U.S. Navy base in Pearl Harbor, about the approaching danger.

The Japanese people have always been shielded from the truth about their Government and their military concerning the fact that Japanese soldiers, the Japanese military, invaded China in 1937 and tortured, killed, massacred, murdered 300,000 innocent and helpless people of all ages in Nanking, the capital of China at that time. Apparently the Japanese soldiers were forbidden to talk about what they had seen or done. They had reportedly raped at least 20,000 girls and women before they killed them, and tortured an unknown number of Chinese people in ways unimaginable to normal human beings. This apparently didn't fit into the image the Government of Japan wanted their citizens to have of their Government and their military. Just like the truth about the Japanese starting World War II at Pearl Harbor in 1941was always hidden from the Japanese public, and not written about in their history books for children and adults. What a tangled web they weave when they conspire to deceive. That deception was repeated then for many hundreds of millions of people in Japan, forever.

The United States Government and the United States military also forbids American soldiers to talk about, or write about in letters, what they did, what they saw, what they were told, or what they know about. Secrecy has always been a big part of the American Government and of the American military. Of course secrecy is the right of any government in any country and of their military. It’s the status quo, a military necessity for all countries.

Wars, invasions, and occupations are often driven by testosterone and enlarged egos, arrogance, greed, lies, and selfishness. Wars are always cruel. Conservatives are always enthusiastically for wars, which is not conservative at all. They like to send other men to fight for them, because they are cowards. Usually young men, as they are supposedly more expendable, to be injured for them, and to die for them. Usually for money, profit, conquest, greed, and more power for the elite, for the people that rule America, and for mostly Republican politicians. If the people that rule the World had to fight in combat instead of the expendable masses there would be no wars.

These excesses, like all excesses, are rarely justified or necessary, having killed and injured hundreds of millions of people in other countries and, to a much lesser extent, in the United States since it began. Usually the alleged justification has been to establish and/or restore freedom for the expendable masses in other countries, and in the United States. But the reality has usually been much different than what the American people have been told, manipulating them to get their support. As an example, wars, military actions, invasions and occupations have often been started based on false information, especially since about 1900, and continuing almost every year since then, until now in the 21st century, more than 115 years later.

So this is nothing new. The desire for manifest destiny and expansion of empires and civilizations began in what was to become America with the Norwegian Vikings, the real discoverers of America, the first in a line of discoverers that included the Italians and Columbus in 1492, the Spanish, the Mexicans, the French, then the last and final discoverers of America, the Pilgrims from England in the early 1600's. Of course the first discoverers were the native Indians that had lived in America for possibly thousands of years. It was their country, and it was stolen from them in a struggle for what was rightfully theirs that lasted for hundreds of years. In order to gain their own freedom, liberty and independence white men took freedom, liberty and independence away from all of the members of the 500 Native Indian nations that had been living in America for at least hundreds of years, and possibly even thousands of years.

Historic records have shown the English and the Spanish were notoriously the most brutal and cruel during their invasions, wars, attacks, and occupations of Indian territory. It was an ugly distinction. Their conquests of helpless and innocent native Indians, that were unarmed until they could barter for guns and ammunition from the white men, involved torture and killing of all Indians, including old people, women, children, and babies. It was uncivilized, a low level of cultural and social evolution, instead of being the superior human beings that the English and the Spanish thought they were. It wasn't the primitive Indians that were uncivilized. It was the white men that conquered them. They had superior weapons, and that made them superior to the Indians. In terms of humanity and truth and doing what was right the white invaders were inferior, as were most of the white men that continuously stole America from the native Indians for about 250 years.

The historical plight of black people in America pales in comparison to that of American Indians, the worst of it lasting for about 250 years after the first Pilgrims from England landed on the eastern coast of America and destroyed entire tribes, after the Indians had helped them survive an unusually cold winter in what Pilgrims called New England. Sharing and teaching, helping them to survive, apparently meant little or nothing to the Pilgrims, as they brutally murdered all of the Indians anyway the following year, making them less civilized than the so-called savage Indians.

Trinkets and glass and beads worth pennies were exchanged for animal furs and hides, gold, silver, and horses worth hundreds and thousands of dollars. The Indians were always taken advantage of and cheated by white men, at all levels. Misunderstanding and misinterpretations of Indian language resulted in endless problems for the Indians, not for the white men who misjudged them and had far superior weapons enabling them to do whatever they wanted to do against the helpless Indians. Equality was never a part of the process. It was never a part of the equation.

Columbus Day has been a manipulation of the American public since the beginning because Columbus certainly did not discover America. This is another myth the U.S. Government and historians have manipulated the America people to believe. It has served a very useful purpose, partly by uniting people behind a collective lie that they want to believe, about the illusion of the beginning of their country of America. Columbus Day has always been a holiday based on illusions and delusions perpetrated by historians and politicians. However, people famously believe whatever they want to believe.

Both General Custer and Columbus were famous for killing Indians ruthlessly, and both were known as killers of women and children by their contemporaries, almost 400 years apart. They both specialized in murdering entire tribes of native populations, usually at night while the victims were sleeping. Columbus had a reputation for invading islands, then murdering its helpless inhabitants and stealing riches from them for his Queen of Spain. Custer was famous for murdering entire tribes of helpless unsuspecting and often sleeping Native American Indians of all ages, old men, young men, old women, young women, babies and children, almost 400 years later. They did not qualify as heroes then or now. But Americans notoriously and historically want illusions and delusions.

The so-called superiority of white men, including Spaniards from Spain, has always been because of their far superior and much deadlier weapons, guns and rifles, and the endless and unrelenting arrogance, meanness, and cruelties of their leaders. Not because they are superior people. But the U.S. Government and historians, who choose what history they want to memorialize, write about, and teach about, can easily be the purveyors of half-truths and lies, distortions and manipulations of what really happened in history, then and now.

Native American Indians suffered far more abuse than black people. Almost a million white men died in the Civil War to free black people from slavery in the South. No white men died to free millions of Native American Indians from the dismal lives they were forced to live on reservations, that were like concentration camps, after their homes were destroyed and their land was stolen from them after white men repeatedly broke treaties, and after their families and friends had been killed. For 300 years invading and conquering white men took away their freedoms and independence, the same things that white men and women had to come to the new country of America to find for themselves.

The invading white men and women were looking for religious freedom, liberty, peace, and justice, and that is what they took away from the native Indians who had been living in America for at least a thousand years. White men murdered at least 100 million Indians in the process of stealing their land for the next almost 300 years. In less than 100 years at least 50 million buffalo were slaughtered by white men, eventually reducing the buffalo to only about 1000. This was done viciously in order to starve the Indian tribes dependent on buffalo to survive. Starting with the Pilgrims in New England white men and their leaders have been bullies throughout American history. History repeated itself many times.

Part of the tragedy for almost 300 years was that the members of the 500 Indian Nations that already owned America wanted to share it all, everything they had, and wanted peace, but the arrogant and lying white men and their leaders wanted possession of it all. The Indians were the easy targets of their far superior weapons, their guns and their rifles. The arrogant duplicitousness of the white man has been there since the beginning of the new country of America. It’s an historical fact. It’s nothing new. It has never stopped, and it has continued uninterrupted, even in the 21st century.

After about 1640 native American Indians were the first slaves in the new country of America, for the very rich and most wealthy Americans. This continued for about 200 years. But after about 100 years, in about 1740, Indians were then about 30% of the total slave population in America in a system then mixed with about 70% black people imported and exported from several countries, including Africa, as a part of the world black slave trade economy that had been in operation for about 6000 years. American white men did not steal black people from Africa and force them to be slaves in America. That has been a lie perpetuated on the American people.

Very few black people in America today have African ancestors exclusively, or at all. So to say they are African American, after hundreds of years of living in the United States as citizens and with no ancestors actually from Africa, is wrong. Most black American people have both white and black ancestors from other countries, not from Africa.

Most countries in the World had used slaves for about 6000 years before America was even thought of. That’s an extremely long time, an unbelievably long time, and it should have been revealed instead of being hidden. It should have always been taught in schools as actual history, not manipulated history. But the truth usually won’t sell newspapers, books, and movies. It also wouldn’t unite black people against white people throughout America in a collective guilt. Slavery as sensationalism and theater does sell, and has made a lot of people rich in the process. For the reasons for anything follow the money. People that are half black and half white have dominated most advertising in the United States since Obama became President in 2009. Since then black and white mixed ethnicity is the best way to sell products and ideas. At least that’s what advertisers obviously think.

The Vikings were the real and true discoverers of America at least 100 years before Columbus and Spain proclaimed ownership. Now, in the 21st century, the United States is the only country in the World that persists in conducting invasions, attacks, occupations, and wars as it pushes for a global government and global control, not just a global economy.

The American Government is supposed to be by the people and for the people. But in many ways it hasn't been since it began in the 1600's. In too many ways it still isn't, now in the 21st century. What can hundreds of millions of people do about it? Nothing. Not a thing. The democratic process, a democracy, is supposed to promote what is good for everyone. But in the United States it doesn’t and it never has. That's one reason why America has never been a true democracy. That's one reason why America is still not a true democracy, especially since 2001.

In the 21st century secret arrests, secret detention, secret imprisonment with no legal representation, with no lawyers or attorneys allowed, and secret trials and sentencing with indefinite imprisonment, with no outside communication allowed, have been happening in Syria, Russia, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Pakistan, and in Israel, and also in the United States. What is going on? America is supposed to be better than other countries, especially those other countries. That’s what Americans are told repeatedly throughout their lives by officials and politicians, and U.S. Presidents.

Obama said in 2007 and 2008 that he would close Guantanamo prison if he was elected. He didn’t do that. Instead, six years later, in 2013, he said Guantanamo was going to be renovated. This is an example of typical political and Presidential duplicity, saying one thing to get public support and get elected or re-elected, and then doing something completely different. Another example of thinly veiled dishonesty is the political ploy, the political policy, of changing the meanings of concepts, ideas, and words for the purpose of protecting themselves or their devious political actions. And to eliminate the NATO requirements for international conduct during wars. An example of this since 2001 has been the political and military policy of no longer using the words prisoner of war, replacing it instead with enemy combatants, and replacing enemies of the United States with terrorists and enemy combatants. Times and rules change, but not always in an honest way.

All people in America, any one of the 300 million expendable masses, should not have to worry about what their Government will do to them, secretly or not, if they say or write anything negative or controversial about the United States Government, about any state governments, or about America in general. This is America going in the wrong direction for the expendable masses, but going in the right direction for the people that control America. It makes America less of a democracy than it already is. But there isn't anything that can be done to change it, to stop it. Benjamin Franklin said "Freedom, if you can keep it, 250 years ago. Having freedoms guaranteed by The Constitution and The Bill of Rights has always been precarious. Now, in the 21st century, some assumed rights are difficult to enforce and seven rights have disappeared, because of the actions of the Neo Con Bush W" and Cheney Administration, and The Patriot Act of 2001.

For centuries Oriental cultures have been notoriously brutal and cruel, extremely inhumane and vicious to their enemies for thousands of years, under the guise of being more civilized than other cultures and civilizations. Throughout history arrogance can have brutal consequences. More recently, lslamists have repeatedly shown extreme brutality and cruelty in the 20thand 21st centuries, unbelievably beheading a total of about one million innocent and helpless women and children. The unbelievable atrocities and cruelties, the insanity, of the German Nazi's in the 1930's and 1940's had no equals in terms of being uncivilized and cruel. Hitler and his Nazi German soldiers tortured and killed between 30 million and 40 million helpless people of all ages in their attempts to gain domination of the World in less than 15 years. The German Government and the German people were proud to be a killing machine. It was an elected democracy that became an elected dictatorship.

Without the intervention of United States President Franklin Roosevelt and the United States military and the United States Government, and the subsequent sacrifices and massive military actions of all Americans, Germany and its allies would have eventually ruled all of Europe. At that time in Germany very brave and courageous people secretly organized locally to overthrow their elected and established Nazi Government and Hitler, its democratically elected President, chosen by the majority of people in Germany, as a part of their advanced and sophisticated modern democracy.

Unfortunately, these very courageous secret organizations changed nothing, and resulted in the deaths of most of the brave and courageous participants. Most of the German population did not dare to resist against the insanity and the cruelty of their Democracy, and of their elected democratic Government, that was vastly more powerful and deadly than individual Germans or groups of Germans united against the vicious Nazi regime. Their national Government was out of control, while being very much in control of Germany, and eventually much of the rest of the World.

Fear of death and pain and suffering for themselves, and for their friends and loved ones, makes people tolerate and support situations against their better judgment. People accept lawlessness and what’s wrong about their Government, and what’s wrong about their systems of law enforcement, when they can’t do anything about it. When they can’t stop it. Cruelty, destruction, arrogance, and selfishness, thy name is man.

It’s an historical truth throughout the World, throughout history. Good people accept corruption because they can’t do anything to stop it, to make it end. Systems work against them There’s always more corruption. Corruption is always for sale. It’s one of the banes of humanity. It’s the universal struggle of good versus bad, good versus evil, that requires lies, lying, deceit, deception, dishonesty to succeed. Lies are more creative than the truth. It’s much easier to manipulate people with lies than with the truth. If people get what they want by lying then there’s no incentive to tell the truth, to be honest. Unfortunately, the truth is that honest people often finish last. Honesty can be dangerous in America, especially since 2001. It’s so much easier to go with the flow. Integrity has nothing to do with it.

Illegal drug systems in America are about endless supply and endless demand. Giving people what they want is a secret for success. My own experiences with drug dealers in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, forced me to deal with drug dealer/ drug boss/ deputy/ Sergeant/drug system lies, harassments, vandalism, and very loud CD bass noise on very large speakers, all anytime 24/7 for more than six years. I couldn’t sell my home and get away from it, move away from it. Only one person looked at my home during those more than six long years of my on and off advertising to sell it. Nobody wanted to live in what they called Methbrook.

There were 10 to 15 drug dealers in the mobile home park, both males and females, a few black, but 99%white. Their illegal drug store home-based businesses were always open, non-stop 24/7, for their itinerant never-ending drug customers, that were obviously set up for the drug dealers, provided for the drug dealers, by the drug bosses and/or their Park managers. The Park owners, commonly known by the people in their Parks as the drug bosses, had a total of 1,974 homes already set up on lots to allegedly buy after down payments of $1500 to $3000, and then monthly payments for the mobile home and lot rental. It was supposedly a way to get the American dream of home ownership for people who couldn’t qualify for a loan from a bank, etc. for a mobile home or a real home on land.

The park owners told the mailman, as he delivered mail one day, People who live in metal boxes are stupid. Those stupid people had made them rich, made them millionaires, and the drug dealers, the drug system in their parks, had made them multi-millionaires. They hated the tenants in their Parks and they loved their drug dealers, the repulsive white-trash sleazy slimy foul-mouthed drug dealers that followed no Park rules and committed crimes every day 24/7. They gave their obnoxious criminal drug dealers complete security, living for free in the Parks, always protected from law enforcement, while the Park owners took away security 24/7 for good and decent people living in their Parks.

So the owners were white-trash multi-millionaires. The Park owners/drug bosses provided the drug dealers in their Parks with free lawyers, free homes, free lot rental, free electricity and gas, free maintenance, free Cable TV, free computers, property taxes paid every year, free Sprint Family Plan phone service, computer service, and phone-hacking equipment, and free lawyers, as a part of the drug system. They were a tightly knit group of criminals who easily made what was illegal legal because of the co-operation and protection of the law, both the Police Department in Evansville and the Sheriff Department in the County, and their corrupt lawyers. It was a successful system of simple organized crime for about 25 years.

The drug culture, the drug system, was entrenched in the County, and there was no way to end it. Nobody wanted to stop it. It was an entrenched drug culture, supported and maintained by the wealthiest businessmen in the County and by the law enforcement in the County. Multi-millionaires owned the Sheriff and the Chief of Police. They controlled them, and the County Commissioners. And maybe the Governor and the Mayor. If you’ve got a lot of money you can make anything illegal legal.

Anybody who reported any of it was in danger, thus the endless threats and obscenities, the endless expensive vandalism of property and cars, the poisoning and killing of people’s helpless and innocent pet dogs and cats and kittens. And the attempts to murder me by doing things to my car, like making it explode into flames under the hood a week before Christmas in 2014. Six weeks earlier I had talked to a deputy about how they had threatened to blow-up my car. He said That only happens in the movies, or on TV. That can’t really happen. I reported it to 10 more deputies for the next 6 weeks. The psychotic deranged demented drug dealers would shout at me We’re gonna blow up your car! But the deputies would ignore me, laugh, or say If we didn’t hear him say that then he didn’t say it.

When I reported it after it did happen a few days before Christmas the responding deputy said, smiling, The bad news is we can’t do anything about it. I gave him the names, addresses, and license plate numbers of the three drug dealers who had shouted at me repeatedly they were going to blow up my car. He ignored me, he didn’t write anything down, and got in his deputy car and drove away. I called 911 and requested that a Detective and a Sergeant contact me about it. No Detective ever did. No Sergeant ever did. So I made a complaint to the Attorney General, asking for assistance, and his employees sent it to the Sheriff. Needless to say I never got a response and justice was not served.

Drug dealers avoided mandatory court appearances, after being charged for crimes, because they were protected by the Attorney General, the Prosecuting Attorney for Vanderburgh County, the Sheriff of Vanderburgh County, the deputies and the Sergeants, all owned by the drug bosses, the multi-millionaire owners of the eight Parks in the County, that owned the Sheriff Department and the Police Department, the Sheriff and the Police Chief, the County Commissioners, and probably the Governor. After all, if you own one why not own them all. It’s so much easier that way. Own the County, control the entire County. This happened in Russia since they’ve become more like a democracy, and this happens in America as it continues to be less of democracy, a kind of a democracy, since 2000.

I experienced government and law enforcement corruption, and business corruption, a few thousand times in Vanderburgh County, Indiana from 2009 to 2016. The drug culture, the County drug system, had depended on lies from authorities and officials for at least 20 years, on all levels everywhere. No one knew when it all began. It seemed that no one knew how to stop it. The only ones that could stop it were deputies, Sergeants, and the Sheriff, and policemen and the Chief of Police. But they didn’t stop it because of corruption, lies, discrimination, fear, apathy, and incompetence. And because of money, profit, power, control, and greed. It was a fact of life. It was a part of the fabric of life in Vanderburgh County, and would continue indefinitely. Maybe forever, because they allowed it and ignored it. Because thousands of people in the County wanted it to continue.

Phony lying TV News and radio news announcements would be made by the Sheriff or the Chief of Police about how difficult it was to stop the gangs and the drug problems, how they had been trying to catch the drug dealers for many years, and how they had just succeeded in catching some of them, and arresting them. Saying things like We call them gangs because there are so many of them, and because they are so difficult to catch. Yeah, right. It was a planned PR job.

This perpetual dishonesty was a cover for the perpetual corruption of law enforcement in the County. People believed it, mostly because they wanted to believe it. They wanted to be able to trust the Sheriff of Vanderburgh County and the Chief of Police of Evansville. But abuse of the law and deceit and deception are absolutely necessary for the perpetuation of any drug culture, any drug system.

Without them any drug system would collapse. The deputies, the Sergeants, and the police ignoring the drug system and the drug culture and lying about it were absolutely necessary for the continuation of it all, to support it. It could have easily been stopped if they had wanted to stop it.

It would be easy to stop any drug system anywhere in America. It’s not complicated. The reason the drug culture and drug systems continue in America is because they are allowed to continue by the people that are in positions of authority to stop them. In America the decadence and illegal activities, the crimes and criminal behavior, from supplying, selling, buying, and using illegal drugs will continue, will grow, will multiply and expand endlessly, forever, because of the money made, the huge profits made so easily. It’s a big game that unifies people in the fun and games and dangers of illegal drug corruption, like the national prohibition of alcohol did in the 1920’s and 1930’s. History always repeats itself, but in modified ways, changed and modified for the new times and for the new circumstances.

A woman who lived in another part of the Park I lived in told her neighbors, who were afraid of the deputies and the drug dealers, that she was going to report to the Sheriff Department that a man living across the street from them was a drug dealer, with the usual 10 to 20 drive-up customers 24/7. Like all the 10 or 15 drug dealers living in the Park, he was supported in every way by the owners of the Park even though he was a malicious nuisance, engaging in disorderly conduct anytime 24/7, and was a pest, a menace, a troublemaker. Like all of them were. She called 911 and reported the drug dealer. The responding deputies told her they needed to have proof. They told her if she bought some drugs from him they’d have the proof they needed and would arrest him. Being a good citizen, and wanting to help the deputies, she co-operated with them. When she returned with the drugs they arrested her, put handcuffs on her, and put her in their deputy car and drove away. Unfortunately, she trusted the deputies with their guns and badges and power to falsely arrest, to arrest anyone under false pretenses and lies, and ignore the criminal drug dealers.

All the neighbors had been watching, and they knew they had been right all along. Never trust the deputies and the Sergeants. The lesson the deputies taught all her neighbors again was that the drug dealers and the drug bosses they represented were, and had always been, specially protected with deputy and Sergeant, Lieutenant and Sheriff, lies and deceit, dishonesty, deception, and corruption. It was a Vanderburgh County tradition. The drug bosses always protected the people that represented them. But in a conspiracy the weakest link is usually the first to break. Since the drug culture, the drug system, had been in operation for 20 to 25 years apparently there was no weakest link. Or it was always repaired or eliminated before the whole drug system started falling apart.

Most problems in the United States political system, and in the world of business, and in the legal world of lawyers, Judges, attorneys, magistrates, police and deputies, Sheriffs and Police Chiefs, at all levels anywhere in America, happen because of
