Norville is having an odd day, a very odd sort of day. One minute he's sitting at home deep into an afternoon nap, and the next thing he knows he's seated on a cliff overlooking a vast land he's never seen before. And when he believes things are as peculiar as they're likely to be, a raggedy man appears behind him to alert Norville to the fact that peculiar is relative as he proceeds to direct Norville's attention to something far more peculiar indeed. At this point the man offers him a drink which is when peculiarity shifts into overdrive.
