About the Author
Chapter One
It was mid September, and Angel could barely see the rain falling outside her hospital room window. The look in her eyes was dramatic as if she’d been through the worst part of her or anybody’s life. While lying in her hospital bed, Angel was trying to recollect all her thoughts of what had happened to her. She has been beaten severely with: two black eyes; three ribs broken; a broken collarbone, and a broken spinal cord that looks like somebody had used her body for batting practices. Besides the beatings Angel has over thirteen stabs and slashes all over her body. Who could have done this? This horrendous act, as if this person doesn’t have a soul left in his/her body.
As tears ran down her face, the horrendous pain runs all through her body. Angel has been in the hospital for as long as she could remember. Besides the pain that she will be feeling for the rest of her life; Angel will never be able to: see, walk, nor hold, or play with her little boy ever again. Right before this incident had happened Angel was a pretty little thang. At the age of nineteen, Angel had grown to mature in her looks really well. With the finest skin tone; people had constantly mistaken her as a Latina or a Puerto Rican just by how light her skin is; compared to the other light skinned females in West Philly. She was the hottest thang on the block, every male and female wanted a piece of her. If they weren’t trying to fight her, they were trying to get with her. The men especially wanted a piece of her. She was young, and she had a body of a twenty-six year old that says, I’m the shit
. Angel was every man’s dream and every woman’s nightmare. She had every female in West Philly hating on her; just by the way she walks and talks. Every woman, married or single hated her just because how their men used to speak proudly of her whenever they see her walking the streets or hitting up the clubs somewhere. So instead of trying to fight her some females just congratulate her on her game. But that was just back then because now she’s just lying in a hospital bed all bruised up with a tube down her throat, and dried up blood still left in her hair; from the time that she was laying in her own pool of blood.
Three Years Earlier. Angel had just moved from L.A. to the Westside of Philly to get away from her trouble past of frequent verbal and physical abuse of a relationship with her boyfriend at the time Quincy or B.K.A. ‘Q’. Angel and ‘Q’ had a thang for each other. It was never anything or anyone could keep them apart from each other. It was like looking at Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston all over again. There was nothing that Angel wouldn’t do for ‘Q’ even if that means to accept all his thuggish and abusive ways. ‘Q’ wasn’t your ordinary kind of guy, of course he had his moments, whereas, if his money wasn’t right he’ll go crazy, but who hasn’t. ‘Q’ was the type of guy who was all about getting paid no matter how he gets it. Even if that means that he had to take whatever that’s not his. And if he couldn’t get what he wanted he’ll take anyone down for it, including Angel.
Angel was ‘Q’s lady and everybody knew it, but what they didn’t know was behind closed doors. Angel and ‘Q’ were together
