About this ebook
The fast pace of the technological development during the past about two decades, particularly in television and information technology, has put up such an enormous and sudden pressure on the human mind that the man of today has difficulty bearing it. Quest for Peace examines the gap between the reality and the illusions of life that is widening every day. Mans desire for material things has increased to the extent that we are not able to make the right choices and maintain the correct balance in our lives.
Science has delivered many wonderful things to us, but we have lost the peace and calm of a less harried life. We are just running without knowing what exactly we needand what we dont need. The moral values that might help to balance the situation seem to have taken a back seat to the fast pace of todays world. In his poetry collection, Quest for Peace, author Amrik Binapal chronicles his innermost thoughts based upon his life experiences with the hope that it might ease the pressure of everyday life for everyone.
Work Hard and Stay HumbleOnly after experiencing
Pain and hardship,
Do we realize,
Peace and its true essence.
Only after surviving
Destruction and death,
Do we understand and appreciate,
The real value of life

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Book review written by Jackie Paulson © 2012 I give this book a five star rating.QUOTE: "We are just running a race not knowing exactly what we need or what we can do without."This is a wonderful book of life at its best and worst in the stream of words of mere poetry. It is written from the heart of the author to chase away the pain and the sorrow once lived. It is in the depth of the words that reminds me of how precious life is and to live in the moment as time slips by. It is in the form of eloquent poetry which sets the story, one by one, fact by fact; thought by thought that captures the reader. In reading this book I am reminded that life is about experiences and lessons that we can live and learn from and then share with others. We all have pain, joy, suffering, death and in making our way through life we can find the hidden value to share as the author did with many words of wisdom. I feel a genuine passion for author who is intelligent, witty and emotional. I plan to keep this book of poems because it is worth devouring many times over. I might pass it along to my daughter. If I was blessed by this book, I know you will be too!

About the Author
Preface
The fast pace of technological development—
especially in the fields of television, computer,
and information technology—has put such an
enormous and sudden pressure on the human mind
that people today are unable to hold up and bear.
In spite of the best efforts to move along with the
times and cope with daily, increasing pressures of
material demands, man of today has, in fact, started
slipping back spiritually at a speed which outpaces
his movement forward materially.
The chasm between the realities and illusions of life
is widening each and everyday.
The desires for material needs have increased manifold
to the extent that he is unable to make the right choices,
maintain the right balance or achieve peace of mind.
Science has delivered unto us many great things
and luxuries, no doubt, but we have lost our peace of mind.
We are just running a rat race without knowing
what exactly we need and what we can do without.
Virtues and moral values have been pushed to the
back seat and are being compromised for material gains.
Confusion, contradiction, conflict,
depression, disease, destruction and death
have occupied the space that virtues and values
once held.
The light at other end of tunnel is fading very fast.
Seeking peace in conflict, hope in despair,
light in darkness, and life in the shadows of
misery,
