Vipin Marwah
Vipin Marwah is a health psychologist and wellness consultant. He started his work in a leading hospital and laid the foundation for understanding of health related behavior among people. He has also been the General Manager of the largest health club in Delhi, India. His key skills involve connecting with people and motivating them to action their health and fitness goals. It always perplexed him to see folks who spent tireless hours working out but not losing weight in years. During his journey he experienced weight gain himself, despite following conventional advice. It was during his own quest to lose weight that he discovered how popular recommendations are not only inaccurate but are responsible for the obesity epidemic. He lost weight and has been maintaining it for many years. Now works to help others understand the science behind weight loss. If you are among those people who weigh more than they should, this book is for you. If you have tried to reduce weight once or many times but did not succeed, this book is for you. If you have succeeded in losing weight but have not been able to maintain it, this book is for you.
This book will present the science and art of weight loss, in easy to understand terms. Once you understand the underlying concepts, you will understand the reasons behind over-eating and food cravings. Reading this book will take you more or less the time it takes to watch a movie, and hopefully it will change your life.
After reading this book you will be able to enjoy food with taste and nourishment like never before. You will start to enjoy food without guilt or fear of getting fat. You will be healthier, happier and you will lose weight.
Moreover, after following the principles taught in this book you will have increased energy levels through the day. You will sleep better through the night. Your blood sugar levels and blood pressure levels will improve for the better and you will decrease your risk of developing diabetes, hypertension and other lifestyle diseases in the long run.
I have experienced the weight loss journey myself. Despite being a wellness professional and fitness practitioner for years, even I gained weight. I looked up conventional literature again and again during my quest for weight loss. All I found was advice on avoiding fats like the plague, eating 5 to 6 meals a day, smaller meals at night and doing cardio
based workouts (aerobic exercise) along with strength training. I was following most of it but still slowly gaining weight, and I could not understand
