About this ebook

The poems in this book are poems that have inspired me over the years I have been writing since 1978. This is a way of expressing my feelings in words and thoughts from other peoples experiences as well as my own to explain my ideals. To me a writer is very similar to an artist. The writer focuses in his mind and then visualizes a portrait, where as the artist begins to draw the paintings. Hoping that each line falls into place, like the poet that writes the word down. Much like a puzzle that is pieced together. Then it becomes a beautiful piece of artwork. I feel I have been reaching for the stars and chasing my dreams to bring a little light to shine within your hearts. I now hold the Editors choice Award in four separate books. One is titled, Color of Life. This is a peace poem on Honorable Men Dedicated to our American heroes in the U.S.A. I also wrote a poem about our Savior titled Undying Rose. I have another poem Thorns in a book Timeless Voices. Also I wrote a poem on Birds again on first page titled Immortal Verses. This book is all about my greatest Author Jesus Christ.

Nancy Lee Armstrong

Mrs. Nancy Lee Armstrong was born in Pulaski Virginia on May 4, 1945. She is married to David Annstrong, and they have one son, Jeffery Scott, born December 22, 1980. Her ultimate ambition has always been to write poetry for a greeting card company. The inspiration for her poetry range from the holidays to true stories she has heard to her own real-life experiences. Especially inspirational to her are special people and her Savior, so she can get God's word to the people. She likes to encourage other people by saying something special, so she can bring joy and peace within their hearts. She wants those that feel lonely or depressed to know that God is our only answer, and prayers can change our lives.

    Dedicated To

    My Husband David W. Armstrong

    And

    My son Jeffery Scott Armstrong

    My Son,

    I prayed to God everyday

    To give me a Son

    After ten years did come

    Now he is only one.

    Almost born on Christmas day

    Just like Baby Jesus

Who is born in the hay

    God has a special purpose

    For him I know

    Because Angels come down

    And told me so

    Something great for him still

    Guide his feet for
