About this ebook

Adrienne prides herself for being smart, prim and proper. She doesn’t go against the rules of society and refuse to even take a shot of Tequila. In other words: Conservative. Boring.

Instead of having fun and letting her spirit run free, she spent almost all her life trying to gain her mother’s approval, measuring up to her sister’s greatness, and proving herself worthy of her boyfriend’s love and attention. She’s been lying to everybody, including herself, about who she really was.

But no matter what she does, she just can’t seem to live up to their expectations. And then she got fed up and decided to let loose. For just one night. She left her eyeglasses, flat shoes, long skirt and knitted sweater behind.

In high heels and a dress that accented her long legs and curves, she went to a club by herself and decided to find out what it was like to have a good time. Her night couldn’t even be more perfect when Justin Adams, the city’s most sought after bachelor, a.k.a. most notorious playboy fell prey to the charms she didn’t even know she possessed.

Justin was every girl’s dream boat, but he never committed to a woman. He didn't date and didn't do relationships.

So, Adrienne thought after that night, she didn’t have to deal with him again. He would forget about her and her secret night of fun was safe with him.But what she did not expect is that Justin isn't about to let her go that easily. And what was supposed to be just a one night stand with the City's most wanted playboy became a full-blown secret affair.

In the eyes of her friends and family, she had a boyfriend named Troy. But within the walls of her bedroom, she belonged to Justin.

But her new-found bliss would be threatened by the secrets that Justin keeps and the past that her parents kept from her.

Soon, she will find out that she's been living her life with all the right intentions... but for all the wrong reasons.

I'm surprised anyone would find this to be a good read unless maybe they were a teen. The writing is just that. It's as if it were pulled straight from the mind of a teenager. I agree with a previous reviewer in that it was pages upon pages of boring dialogue. The characters are weak and they are written as if they were in a high school setting. There were moments I almost expected them to break out into a High School Musical song and dance. Justin is supposed to be a Harvard graduate. Kim and Troy are supposed to be so highly educated. The characters aren't believable. Additionally, I don't need a lot of graphic detail in the intimacy department however the feelings in those moments were more like passing conversation...repeatedly. The closeness and emotion just wasn't felt. It was hastily and carelessly written.

If you’re a big fan of soap opera, then this is a book for you. I know it’s fiction, but this goes way beyond that. The female lead character is quite stupid and not likeable at all.

The characters aren’t written solidly at all; Justin Adams is supposed to be a “rake” but he’s simping hard right off the bat. Its really just not creative. The characters lack personality on a deeper level that makes you want to connect to and envision. It’s just not deep writing. It’s 600+ pages of fluff that need some severe condensing, and the dialogue is pretty bare bones and punctuated like this! A lot! I won’t finish it, if you’re looking for a romance that has some level of awareness of the cognitive processes characters experience when falling in love you’ll be hard pressed to find it here.

This book was wayyyy to long! The story could have been told in half the pages. Due to its unnecessary length, it was had to follow at times and i found myself skipping sections. i did not like the authors writing style, which seemed rather juvenile and overly wordy, with some poor sentence construction. i am not sure if i am disappointed more in the author or the editors. The frequent use of the phrase 'and then' really really bothered me. took the book out of the adult category.

I was really pleasantly surprised by this book, I expected your typical romance but that isn’t what I got at all. Very well written although quite formal speech at times which was a little out of place with the swearing and the sexual nature of the story but I’m just picking there. Great read I was really hooked from start to finish. Never read anything by the author before but I have already downloaded the other titles the author has written and I’m hoping to be as hooked. Very well done for this title to the author ?
