About this ebook
We all have power within us. We all have the right to use that power. Often, however, we don’t give ourselves permission to do so. Self-empowerment is when we give ourselves permission, and take the responsibility, to become the person we want and to create the life we desire.
This second volume of "52 Weeks of Wisdom, A Woman’s Guide to Self-Empowerment," provides 52 additional ideas to encourage you to think about yourself and your life. Who are you and who do you want to be? What do you have and what do you want? Reflecting on these suggestions will assist you not only in answering these questions, but also in implementing plans to achieve the answers.
Topics include:
•Respected or Liked?
•“Why” vs. “What”
•Personal and Positional Power

•Expectations

52 Weeks of Wisdom, A Woman's Guide to Self-Empowerment, Volume 2 - Susan L. Farrell
Welcome to the eBook
(Please Read This First)
Thank you for purchasing the electronic version of 52 Weeks of Wisdom, A Woman’s Guide to Self-Empowerment, Volume 2. In the paperback version of this book, I included a Notes
section after each segment with the intent that the reader could write notes to help her interpret what the information meant to her and what she wanted to do.
That does not work so well with an eBook.
Even though there are not Notes
sections in this version, I recommend that you take notes anyway. You can write your thoughts in a journal, tablet, computer, or whatever works for you.
I hope the information in this book encourage you to think about what you do, why you do it, and do you want to change.
Foreword
The topic of self-empowerment is one that deserves perpetual attention. It is not a topic that can be mastered with a basic model or action plan. Instead, it requires a regular practice of self-awareness, self-reflection, and self-improvement.
Susan has been sharing these messages for the many years I’ve known her. From her first book, Don’t Act Like Prey, she creates a story with a deliberate message to create a mindset for women to feel empowered.
Her contributions to this body of work come from her research, observations, and experiences that she regularly shares through her blog. Susan has been a consistent messenger on this topic, and I’m honored to have witnessed her own journey in sharing her message.
This volume of 52 Weeks of Wisdom continues to share her straightforward points of self-empowerment. It’s up to you to decide how to best take it in, digest it, and implement the strategies.
For me, these are good reminders to have during my morning routine. They provide some food for thought and help me set an intention for the day. Many of these points are enduring – and you’ll read them when you need them most.
There is no better time than now to read 52 Weeks of Wisdom and the rest of Susan’s collection to stay connected to yourself and inspired to improve.

Introduction
Welcome to Volume 2 of 52 Weeks of Wisdom, a Woman’s Guide to Self-Empowerment.
When I wrote the first 52 Weeks of Wisdom, I was so confident that I would write another that I put Volume 1
on the cover. Although it took longer than I had planned, Volume 2 is here, and Volume 3 is close behind.
There are many ways to read this book. I suggest that you consider reading one topic per week. Pick a day when you can read it and think about what it means to you. If you can pick the same day each week, it can become a habit and easier to remember to do. If you already have a time set aside for self-reflection, this would be a great addition.
At the end of each topic is space to write notes to yourself. You might want to write what this topic means to you. More importantly, you might want to write any changes that you want to make based upon the insights you have gained.
Of course, you can read the book in sections, in one sitting, or whatever you want. It’s your choice.
Whichever way you decide to use this book, I hope it will give you additional insights on not just what you do, but also why you do it, so that you can make the changes necessary to become the person you want and to create the life you desire.
1. Self-Empowerment
Empowerment is external, self-empowerment is internal.
In Volume 1 of 52 Weeks of Wisdom, A Woman’s Guide to Self-Empowerment, I talked about self-empowerment in the first chapter. I
