Klaus Engeler
Klaus Engeler wurde am 10 August 1961 in Cuxhaven geboren und begann seine Laufbahn in der Schiffahrt mit 15 Jahren. Er begann die typische Ausbildung zum Matrosen und besuchte mit 20 Jahren die Seefahrtschule in Cuxhaven, wo er das kleine Patent zum Kapitän erlangte. Gleich im Anschluss die Fachschulreife und das mittlere Patent zum Kapitän. 1986 machte er seinen Fachhochschulabschluss und studierte Nautik an der Hochschule für Nautik in Bremen und erlangte 1991 die Auszeichnung zum Diplomnautiker und damit das Patent zum Kapitän auf Großer Fahrt. 2001 blieb er an Land und wurde Inspektor bzw. Betriebsleiter einer Stauerei, wo er auch später als anerkannter Ausbilder die Idee zum vorliegenden Exemplar entwickelte. 2016 wechselte er in den Bereich der Ladungsplanung einer renommierten Schwergut Reederei.
