    God the Father, loves you!

    Prologue

In this modern day and age, we often find ourselves questioning the purpose of life, questioning God, questioning the trials and tribulations we may find ourselves in. This is nothing new. The Old Testament of the Bible reveals that since mankind was placed on this earth by God, they, in like manner questioned everything. In this book, I am endeavoring to look at the many aspects of life through God’s Word. The nature and character of God, as revealed through scripture and God’s plan of redemption in and through our lives. We should always be reminded that nothing catches God off-guard, by surprise. God has scripted all of eternity past, present and future before we were born. He is a loving Father that wants the best for His children.

Chapter One - This World is not Our Home

This world, earth and all its fullness, is not our home. This is not only true for the believer in Christ Jesus, but for every human being born on this earth. When we die, we leave our bodies behind and ‘depart’ to one of two place: heaven or hell. God’s word, the bible, cannot be clearer on this fact. For the believer in Christ, who accepted God’s free gift of salvation, the destination is heaven, for the individual who did not accept God’s plan of salvation through Christ it is hell. Peter the Apostle reminds us all when he writes: ‘Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,’ (1 Peter 2:11 NKJV).

We are merely pilgrims on our way to our eternal home. Paul the Apostle compared this life as a vapor. Even if you are healthy and string and reach 90 years or more, it is still a vapor, a fleeting moment compared to eternity that will never come to an end: ‘For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.’ (James 4:14 NKJV) And to think that, as a believer, you will spend eternity in God’s presence, with no more pain, sorrow, sin, drama etc., but soaking up God’s glory and bringing honor and glory to
