This voice acting book is a modern-day voice over 101 bible detailing what it takes to become a successful voice actor or announcer in today's VO market. The entire three-part-series about Voice Acting & Announcing is a must have for new voice actors and announcers who want a sustainable career. Whether you're seeking to make a transition to a career in voice acting or announcing because it's the logical next step in your career, or because you want to feel stimulated by a new career, these voice acting e-books are meant to empower you in the next phase of your journey.

To make a living with your voice, become an artist first, then a VO artist.

Pt.1 follows the path of the voice over artist: acting training, voice acting lessons, what is expected of voice actors on the job, everything you need to know about getting hired as a voice over talent, the voice acting budget, and the important decisions you may need to make as a voice actor. After reading this voice acting e-book you'll have a thorough understanding of how to approach a new career in the voice over sector. This is all about creating competitive voiceover performances.

Pt. 2 follows the path of the voice over technician: recording and editing voice overs, voice acting gear (and voice over industry standards like voice acting microphones, voice acting headphones, voice acting audio interfaces), the intricacies of working with sound, building a voice over booth (voice acting set up), editing and file delivery standards, and audio file formats and specifications. After reading this voice acting book you'll be confident about recording voice overs from home and editing your voice over work. This is all about understanding the voice acting tools you need to deliver excellent audio to clients and agents.

Pt. 3 follows the path of the voice over entrepreneur: voice over recording workflow, best voice over business practices, voice acting processes, voice acting policies, setting voice acting rates for union and non-union actors, and VO marketing. After reading this voice over e-book you'll understand the steps you need to take to get your voice out there. This is all about making money with your voice talent.
