Short Hikes Around Nong Khiaw and Muang Ngoi: Amazing Vistas of Laos
()
About this ebook
Located in northern Laos some 140 kms from Luang Prabang, the little town of Nong Khiaw and the sleepy, traditional village of Muang Ngoi are now on the main tourist path. They became famous for their dramatic looking mountains and laid back countryside, and the wide range of outdoor activities offered by tour operators. But some of the attractions can easily be visited independently, such as caves and mountain-top viewpoints around both places. In this miniguide the focus is on the viewpoint hikes, since there is very little information about them, apart from the one or two everybody does. This miniguide provides the essentials about 6 hikes, through short descriptions, trail maps, elevation and distance data, and series of photos. Furthermore, in the text there are links that open a particular trail in Google Maps or download the trail file on your device. It is a great way to learn about these location before you go, and the miniguide may also come useful along the way. Discover a bit of Laos and some of the most amazing vistas of the world!

About the series
This title is the first of a series of miniguides that aim to present concise but accurate and visually telling information about some of the most stunning places of the world – the focus is on short independent hikes and amazing vistas.
You would think that today, when tourists have over-run the whole planet, everything is covered. But that’s not the case; certain places and certain attractions are indeed, in fact, often over-covered, but there is little or no information about others, or what information is available is confusing and inaccurate. These miniguides intend to provide the essentials about some of these places and attractions, through short descriptions, trail maps, elevation/distance data, and series of photos. Furthermore, in the text there are links that open a particular trail in Google Maps or
