      1  Introduction

      1.1  Present Sand Shortage and Its Impact on Construction Industry

      With the industrialization , sand has become the most-extracted natural resource worldwide in last century. Because of the over consumption and without consideration of long-term sustainability, today, the sand scarcity has become an emerging issue in the world as key economic, environmental, social and political implications (Torres, et al., 2017).

      Sand is a major component used in construction industry. Hence, this looming crisis has already hit the economic development rate in 21st century (Brown, 2019). Therefore, today it has become an indispensable fact to find an alternative source that could substitute natural sand in constructions.

      1.2  What is ‘Manufactured Sand\ Artificial Sand’ and Its Technical Suitability
