    The Kybalion claims to represent the essence of the teachings of Hermes Trismegistus, and by extension of the secrets of hermeticism. But instead, it is a fascinating interpretation of those teachings through the prism of the New Thought movement which blossomed when this text was published in 1908. Many of the principles found here, including positive thinking and the law of attraction, have since become long-standing fixtures of popular culture.
